It was near the models but Every Wal-Mart is not uniformed to put these things on the same row in every store. The store I went to in the Kansas City Barry Woods area, had it on the back 2nd to the last row in Toys. It took me 2 tries to find it but I did. I also know that some Wal-Marts don't put thier Toy items out right when they get meaning your store probally already has it but it hadn't been put out yet. You will also have to have a good eye to find it too. Also The Wal-Mart I stoped at, seems like they just placed them on the selves, they hadn't yet had a price tag in front of them.

PLEASE READ: This post wasn't meant to offend or anger anyone; I apologize in advance if it does. So please don't post a reply just to rant about it. :)

I'm so glad someone else has finally located this toy! Thanks Sawblade5! I also just bought one and it is a pretty cool toy for the price you pay. I don't have a Screamin' Serpent set so I can't compare the two.

All you other buzzers out there let us know what you think when you finally find this little toy at your local WalMart.

Darn it, why are there no freakin Walmarts anywhere in Miami! :(

I'm sitting shiva for CCI.

What company makes this toy? I checked at my Wal*Mart and that UPC is NOF. So perhaps it is only at a select few right now.

Hope that helps!

How easy is it to build in comparison to Screamin' Serpent. Screamin' Serpent was my frist K'NEX and it took me 3 days to build it (about 3 hours a day).

Well my Wal-Mart Supper center just got this set in. It looks very cool and when My store opeans up in 2 days, I'm buying it. Also as for Wal-Marts and their desgin, well there are about 6 differnt standard layouts, depending on store size. In each of these 6 layouts, the placement of products is decided by the "home office".

Note: these layouts do not apply to stores over 10 years old and ones that have added on to the orginal building.

Sawblade5 (or anybody else with this set), can you connect two or more sets to make an even longer coaster?

Yes you can...they even promote it on the box.

"Connect 2 sets...DOUBLE your Coaster size!"

I just picked it up a few hours ago at my local Wal Mart. I found it with all the model cars and model paints. I could see other stores putting it with the Hot Wheels sets since thats what it basicly is. I was worse than a kid in a candy shop on the way home to start construction.:) The sad thing is that I'm 26 years old! (I guess going on about 9) :)

The launcher works the same as a Hot Wheels track the two spinning foam tires to launch the trains. It must have taken me 20 minutes to unpack everything in the little box. Everything was twistie tied to one another and the box. You need two D batteries for the launcher. The box tells you you need batteries but not how many or the size.

To build the track you simply make the course out of 3 or 4 black pieces of rail tubing which the coaster rail an splines hook to. The main problem I found is that they should have given you more supports that hook to the track. So far every time I built a coaster I could have used about two or 3 more supports.

The trains are pretty cool. Each car has 2 sets of running and upstop wheels and each car articulates (Imangine a B&M with the guide wheels in front of the first row of seats.) The seats unhook so you can make them inverted or a sit down coaster. The chassis unhook from the wheels also so you can get a floorless look as well.

The station/ launching platform an be used two ways the first way it lays on the table for the sitdown coaster. The other way you add steplike pieces on the top of it then turn it upside down and use it for an invert station. The launcher shoots the cars pretty good. I just built a Hypersonic/ Xcellerator hill and it shot up 22 inches no problem.

So far I built two different inversions an Immleman and corkscrew. Both worked fine. I imangine with a few sets you could build a pretty cool multi inversion coaster. With the amount of track you get limits your inversions.

For $20 you can't go wrong with this set.

If anyone wants pics of it to post on there web site let me know I'll take some shots of it tomorrow and send em to you just drop me an email or IM me.

cool, I have been waiting for pics...
Looks pretty neat. Whenever I see something new and coaster related I usually buy it, so I guess I'll have this thing next time I'm at a Wal-Mart :) .
Well Mark B, your store doesnt have it. Ours does.
Oh and our wal-mart has it, and the one in my town is the first in Illinois. Wow.
