Most anticipated ride for 2013

I +1'd it.

Perhaps you should get a limited amount of +1's each day or week and you earn more by being +1'd. Then we can talk about getting credits and your +1 count and borrowing kids to get even more +1's and whether someone writing out "+1" in a post counts as a credit.

But wait... That's how I get most of my votes...

I KNOW I'm guilty of +1-ing a lot. I try to do it for posts that are interesting or raise a good point, and I end up using it almost like a "like" button on Facebook. I have a problem!!

Luv ya too, Mike, but you know you let out a groan/laugh hybrid at my cheesy joke. It just screamed "ba-dump-bump". Or however one would spell the little punch line drum thing.

I need to get coasting soon. Getting loopy.

I admit that I Vote up a lot. I like the feature because I don't have to reply with:

"Me too!" or

"I read your reply to my post!" or

"I like your post!" or

"Your post made me laugh really hard for about ten seconds!"

I can just click Vote up and move on to the next post. I find it to be a positive, yet silent way to tell people that I noticed what they had to say.

Neither was that. :)

If you belong here, you will adapt. If you do not belong here, you will leave. That is one thing that makes this website so awesome!

Yeah, but you've been here long enough to know when it's appropriate.

I've literally been +1'd by people that I know had no clue what I was saying. If you don't get the meme, you shouldn't +1.

This is officially my favorite post ever on CoasterBuzz. If it's not the single best post ever made here, I don't know what is...and it was done with just 14 words.

We have witnessed greatness and it has deemed us unworthy.

We're not the way to serious psychos at all. We guide folks to the goofy, silly psychos.

(And I really think some folks' "vote up" privileges should be revoked until they can prove that they can use them responsibly.)

Oh my. A lot of this is very disturbing to me.

Blasterboy, kekoa is a Hawaiian name and has nothing to do with bears, and your attempt to add insult to injury makes no sense.

I was the first to respond to kekoa and was happy to help a newcomer out. He's from far away, is planning a trip to the mainland, and my guess was that he would get his information from us amateur experts and find little reason after that to hang around. I was willing to overlook traditional no-no's around here, double posts, etc, simply because of this. Not that I'm in charge of policing such matters, but I just thought we were giving him a friendly pass. I was a little concerned when I read Carrie J's admonition to kekoa, I guess I thought it was a little harsh. I also had exchanged a PM with him and he seemed like a nice guy. So, I was upset that a few of us seemed to turn on him so fast.

But I would say this to kekoa if he's listening. I believe Carrie J. is an appointed moderator of this forum (correct me Carrie, if I'm wrong) and her duty is to keep things running smoothly here. If you continue to post here you'll want to pay attention to the courtesies she or any other moderator outlines for us. If you choose to not post here that's ok too. I was pretty sure Carrie was not directing the 'vote up' comment to you or about you, anyway, and your response is appalling. We here at CoasterBuzz may be a lot of things, and we've been known to have our disagreements, but we're not disrespectful name callers. And for that I bid you farewell.

Edit to add: apologies to my CoasterBuzz friends if it seems like I'm speaking out of turn here. This is very, very upsetting to me, tho, and I just had to say.

I'm very sorry about what I just posted. The post has been deleted. I was in a bad mood, but I know that was no reason to just let loose on you, kekoa. After reading through RCMAC's post, I truely regret having said that about you. The name-calling thing wasn't meant to be an insult, but it was just how I reacted when I first saw your username, and if it came out rude or anything, I am by no means trying to insult any part of your life or culture. Perhaps I should listen to my own advice that I gave you because after reading through my post now, I knew it was appaling and very, very wrong. I think if you give me and the others (if you felt insulted by them) another chance, you would like Coasterbuzz a bit more and hopefully not feel so bad about it. RCMAC, about apologizing to others on Coasterbuzz, I don't think you have to do any apologizing to anyone. I need to thank you for helping me realize my mistake, and I know my post came out wrong. Also, I still don't think that was right for you to address Carrie like that, kekoa, since she was doing her job. The post about voting up had nothing to do with you, and that I still think that you should have not responded that way. Don't get me wrong though-my post was unnecessarily harsh in some ways. I feel extremely bad about it, and once again, if you're still reading this, I'm really sorry.

Well this was awesome to come back to at the end of a crappy afternoon.

I don't need to address kekoa's post because he's just fishing for a reaction. But my post about "vote ups" had nothing to do with kekoa.

It's regrettable that you, RCMAC, or anyone else for that matter, thinks I was being harsh. I am a moderator for the site and given the reaction to Andy's post and his long time participation on the site, I was compelled to support him and offer the guidelines to help sort out what the posting expectations are for the site.

Carry on.

Oh, please feel no regret for me, Carrie. I recognize the duties of the moderator, uphold and support them. I thought I conveyed that very clearly to kekoa and anyone else in my paragraph to him above, and I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. Didn't mean to call you harsh, like I said I assumed he was not long for the world anyway.

I had a crappy afternoon too, and all this took me by unpleasant surprise. It's really none of my business, I just don't like name calling.

^Carrie, if you are holding kekoa in low regard, I think you should give him another chance. I'm not trying to go against you by any means-I think you are an awesome moderator. However kekoa was new, and he might have misunderstood some of the posts that were made. I'm not asking you to do anything for anyone, and don't get me wrong, his post was very shocking, but I think it was only because he got the wrong ideas about the posts others made.

When someone resorts to a post like that, they've got a chip on their shoulder and need to go. If you can't understand a polite, simple suggestion, which is all the post that set kekoa off was, and what's more, resort to going psycho yourself, you need to find something else to do with your time.

I know, but I still think what I previously said about him was pretty mean. If you don't know what I said, don't worry about it.

Another chance? Whether he misunderstood or not, hurling blatantly nasty and completely unwarranted insults at a respected member after spending all of a week here deserves jack. What a dip***t.
