Odds are they're just gonna let it sit & rot, otherwise it would've certainly been announced for 08 with the rest of SFI's attractions.Anyhow I do remember hearing that someone spotted what appeared to be new trains on one of the flatbeds shipping track out to MIA & the original trains were never shipped out from GL at all.
So if you heard that, and ScreamScape heard MIA was getting the new trains and their are pics of the old trains then maybe they really are getting new trains.

yes buti i heard coasters trains are designed to with stand extreme weather.
Dominator's trains showed up at KD a couple weeks before the first sections of track were spotted in the parking lot so if CF wanted to keep the old TH trains they would've certainly shipped them by now.
Using your scale, I'll give it a 1. Why spend money on something that doesn't need to be fixed.

Why? Those old Vekoma SLC trains are a horror. The wheels don't touch the track, and the restrains block your view and they hurt like hell.
A rollercoaster should be fun, not hurt. The new trains are supposedly much more of a better fit for the track and the restraints are clearly better.
If you ask me, the first drop will be over the water. But, they have built a wall along the lake where Thunderhawk is being built, and are draining the area where the ride will be built. So, I'm thinking the first drop will be near the water, but, a good portion of the rest of the ride will be over land.
I am hoping they will re-paint the ride before it opens. The park already has several yellow rides, adding one more will make the park seem bland. one of the things I was hoping Cedar fair would avoid.
Heres a list of yellow rides already in the park. Corkscrew, mad mouse, funnel of fear, dodgems, trabant. All these rides are yellow, or, at least a good majority of them are painted yellow.
I think repainting it in it's original colors of red and blue, or even silver like Top Gun at Canadas wonderland, would give the park some much needed color. Silver supports with red track would be cool. anything but yellow.

Thunderhawk was painted for the 05 season i believe when it was at Geauga Lake. I see no reason for Cedar Fair to spend that kind of money to re-paint a ride that was painted less than 4 years ago. Cedar Fair is cheep plain and simple ;) *** Edited 12/31/2007 12:02:26 PM UTC by rider85*** *** Edited 12/31/2007 5:51:14 PM UTC by rider85***

I just don't think they'll do that considering it got repainted in 2005.
I don't think that part of the midway will get too crowded, but I do think the park will have a problem with too many people trying to ride it in their bathing suits.
