Well, there's some earth shattering news.
The track is still orange and the supports are still yellow there just a bit faded. The ride will go over the water, but i'm not sure which part since the GM wasn't very specific when I talked to her. Should add a nice element to the ride though just like at it's former park.
Honestly where DID C.K.(insert random number here) go?! Did he soil himself so much about this news that his parents took away his vaio they got him for his 10th birthday? *** Edited 11/15/2007 6:13:37 AM UTC by P18***
Apparently, it will look something like this:

I tried spinning it the other way (along the water instead of into it) and it didn't fit. That was before the picture above was published showing them going out into the water.

On another note: people often say they'll build a midway behind wildcat now. Not that I would protest, but I don't see the point. It's still a long walk to the back of the park, no matter which side of the pond you walk on.

How do you figure?

If I just got off timbers and want to ride grand rapids, it would be a hell of a lot shorter walk than having to walk around the entire lake.

P.s

I also herd a rumor that time warp from geauga lake may find a new home at Michigans adventure. *** Edited 11/15/2007 7:49:19 PM UTC by crazy horse***

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Some new construction pictures were posted today.

Looks like there are now footers being poured, and part of the lake was blocked off and is being drained.

I hope they re paint the coaster before they construct it. I don't care for the yellow/ orange color scheme.
Last I heard the color scheme will stay the same, but who knows we'll see come May. ;)

2006 - 2009 Cedar Fair Ride Operations
2009 - Walt Disney World Attractions.

That's strange they'd build it in the lake when they have TONS of other room to use.

Unless, of course, they wish to use the other space for future projects.

I can't see them repainting the ride since it's got a relatively new coat of paint now.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

^I dunno. When you look at the deconstruction pics the track definitely looks like it can use a fresh coat of paint.
Serial thriller color scheme imo looked better than thunderhawk colors.

The track color couldn't have faded that much in two seasons. It looks as if the track has been painted a warm yellow. If it has faded it needs to be repainted usually after three season coasters' paint jobs fade. *** Edited 11/17/2007 1:51:34 AM UTC by Cedar "Counter" Point***

I agree that it looked way better before. When CF repaints their coasters, they seem to disregard station and/or train colors. Look at the Serial Thriller pics. The trains fit right in with the track colors. But, the Thunderhawk track colors have no relation to the trains.

They did the same thing with Iron Dragon's new colors. The existing station and trains look horrific with the new track colors.

I'm not quite sure why they don't just repaint the coasters with their original colors.

Ah, Tim, I think we all know how well Cedar Fair performs at the "little things" (that, of course make a big difference to the consumer with an eye for detail). Sigh. *** Edited 11/17/2007 3:19:56 AM UTC by OhioStater***

I really hope they paint the trains a different color, the blue and red trains look awful, how about a nice silver for once and not primary colors like always with CF. *** Edited 11/17/2007 4:17:00 AM UTC by Hoek***
^Primary colors? Weren't they on a big purple and green kick not that long ago (Laser, Wildcat, Boomerang etc) or just shades of green (Hydra, Raptor)

I am not a big fan of the current colors or name.
