what if its a B&M standup inverted?
That's a cool idea but it would just combine 2 coasters they already have and probably be way to intense anyway.

From what I have read around the net, it appears to be B&M Floorless track... it is a clone, you can probably guess a clone of which one by the amount of space they are building in.

CCN's forums are now fully operational.

No F shaped supports...

Looks like we got 1 piece of brake run track, 1 definite peice of transfer track, and 2 station/transfer track (not sure which). But there is no curves in the spines...

Not really. Most people still can't get the proximity of the boundaries the coaster will be put in. I'm still skeptical of it being a carbon copy of SFMW's floorless because they are in the same state. It would be more logical to have it patterned after the New Jersey one if it were to be "cloned" so to speak.

The color rumored combo leads me to believe that the Mountain won't be dubbing next year's attraction Medusa either.

I feel the same here too. There were also rumors of it being labeled 'Nitro', but after the solid confirmation of the color scheme, I doubt it will be that too. And the park won't even dare go for another DC or Marvel Comics related theme, they've already chopped it into bits with Batman The Ride, The Riddler's Revenge, and Superman The Escape.

When you also have B&M track sitting in front of you, oh yes you can... ;)

Trust me, it's not flatrides, although that would have been nice. Like Chris said, we're getting a people eater. Neither a flyer or a wooden coaster fall under that category. SFMM is getting a floorless, and you can thank Arrow and Vekoma for that...

You can also thank Six Flags Corp.

Anyways, whether or not it is an exact clone of Medusa, it will definitely have a unique color scheme (obviously) and a different name.

If they'd run all six trains on Colossus, that would be a people eater, but I doubt there's ever enough people in line for Colossus anymore to merrit 6 trains. Damn them for removing the double dip for a block brake!

I'm all for a floorless, but I'd really like to see one with a lot of drops and unique arrangement of the standard elements. If they would just throw in two heartline rolls/zero G camel backs on a single B&M, I would be joyful. How about a double Cobra Roll or a tripple corcscrew? Come on, something original, PLEASE!

Origonal? B&M layouts almost always follow the same layout. It's a shame. I'd really like to see something thing new but don't count on it....

Like others said, how about it being the biggest Floorless/Looper in the world? IMO it should tie with Colossus for most inversions; 10 or even more. Then it could have two double inversion elements - Cobra Roll, Batwing or Sea Serpent. Hmm, all exist in Cali. I'd like to see a dual Zero-G Roll that rotates the train 720 degrees in one go over the parabola. Yup, it's upright & highest up inbetween rolls.

Oh, for crying' out loud, why doesn't B&M assemble the coaster at their factory then airlift & plop it in the carpark?? :) Well, I gotta admit it's easiest & cheapest to do so.

Why does this coaster have to be so amazing and have new elements? Is it just because its for SFMM? No one ever had a fuss about new elements on BDK or SKC or BKF or Medusa west. I think they get my point.

but medusafanatic, THOSE coasters weren't meant to draw staggering lines away from X....;)
Where are those track pictures we have been hearing about?

Not true. They deliver what the parks pay for. If the parks (ie. Six Flags) don't want to pay for a unique design, then they get a clone. Other chains like Busch have gone out of their way to get custom designed rides from B&M who are more than happy to deliver something unique.

As long as whatever it is - is open for Spring Break. Then I don't care what it is. :) Spring Break looks to be a voyage to South Cal this year!!!
