I noticed that Chitown closed down the previous SFMM 2003 thread due to the lack of pictures.
Well, while these pictures don't reveal that its a B&M or even a roller coaster, it does look like the Mountain is up to something.

Those Ls and Rs DO look rather suspicious lined up like that, eh?
As far as WHAT this ride may be, I'll not comment.....
those footer markings are B&M. the C stands for a coasting section (B is used for brakes, S for station and L for lift), the number correspondes to a number that appears on the supports so they know where to put them, and the L or R is for if the left or right hand support goes to that footer (in the case of the B&M style support with 2 arms is needed).
for example, C-97L and C-97R stand for coasting section 97. this bit of track will need a double armed support with the left hand side support going into C-97L and the right hand support going into C-97R.
however, from footer markings you cant tell what type of ride its gonna be :(
NorCal and SoCal are nowhere NEAR each other....

Once again, I think this is just a case of "knee-jerk" enthusiasts rushing out to slay "the evil clone dragon". Get over it :)

Jeremy - you took the words right out of my mouth and probably said it better than I would have anyway. Thanks, and sorry for the drool.

Everyone out here in SoCal says Floorless. Whatever it is, I don't really care. We need a decent ride that can run reliably and at high capacity.

LOL AdamFrank, SFMM doen't NEED anything.
Also, I highly doubt it will be a clone of B:TDK.

They are not that close to each other, but us Californians love to take road trips. Most Bay Area residents, including myself, take several treks throughout California each year. Every person I know with a Six Flags season pass goes to both SFMW and SFMM multiple times every single year. I don't know about how you east coasters and midwesterners travel from city to city, but even though LA and the Bay are quite far geographically, we drive back and forth as if it's just short ways away. When we say we are going to LA, it's almost like saying we are just going to the other side of town, so it's no big deal.
Oh... and speaking of the Bay vs. LA... GO GIANTS!!!

If in fact it is a B&M, a floorless would make the most sense, seeing as we already have sit downs (none that are as smooth, but we have them nonetheless) we have something along the lines of a flying coaster, yet nothing like a floorless (cept for the Dark Knight over there in the corner). Now, what makes everyone think it will be you run of the mill B&M, what if it's a new coaster innovation? Now that would be something to contemplate.

Is it a dream or a memory? It's both, it's X

It's gonna be B&M and it's gonna be floorless. Now when will they announce this? Only time can tell.
Nice pics BTW!

Well, that's because in the midwest, there are many more cities clustered within close proximity of each another. In Cali, once you head due south from the Bay, your next stop would be... LA! Driving from central Ohio to Chicago, you would run into a lot more than the miles and miles of farmland and desert between the Bay and LA.

That was really random. Or maybe it's a Superman Krypton Coaster clone. Or a Batman Knight Flight clone. Or a Medusa West clone. Or a Medusa East clone. Or a Superman a la atracion de acero clone. It could be ANYTHING.
