Plain and simple, she's got talent somewhere. Whether that talent is musical or not, in anyone's opinion is irrelevant. Her talent seems to be her high entertainment value, and relatively catchy songs. I wouldn't say that makes her "suck". To be honest, I wouldn't say that many artists or bands have gotten to where they are because they aren't good at *something*.
Yes! Nice to see someone say that.
It applies to pretty much any form of entertainment that we're supposed to be too cool to like.
I never understood the appeal of DMB. I guess I'll never be a pseudo suburban hippie.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Cool. I, personally, don't care.
I like them because they're all fantastic musicians, and they play very well together. That's my opinion, and my choice. I'll be damned if it bothers me that you don't like something I do.
I also like staying in hotels after a long day of doing anything that makes my old body hurt. YMMV.
I listen to a lot of stuff that (I don't think that) a lot of people aren't into. If I got mad every time I heard "Marilyn Manson sucks" or "Prodigy Sucks", I would never be a happy person. :)

I'm a pop music whore. Having said that, I don't lime Gaga they much. But... Shr can sing and compose very well. I'm like josh, I don't care what anyone else likes or doesn't like. And I don't care what anyone thinks about what I like. SomeOnes opinion about my opinion hardly validates my life.
bibb you are hilarious. Music is an opinion not a fact. There's a reason why it's called music theory. DMB is talented and the reason for that is because they use the same theory that other "pseudo suburban hippies" used before... the beatles, red hot chili peppers, bob dylan the list goes on and on... I have no idea why you would try to get people to change their opinions.. its just stupid.
It's like that old phrase...
"Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid lasts forever."
Generally speaking...there are only two types of music. "Good Music" and "Bad Music." The difference.... If you like it...it's good.
Are there bedbugs in Coney Island?
There aren't any hotels...at least those that don't charge hourly.

edit: to invalidate your hotel argument further - demand creates supply, it's hard to say someone "sucks" when they sell out 20-50,000 seat venues every night of the summer. Doesn't matter who the artist is, they're doing something right for /someone/.
So does Lady Gaga.. is an appeal to popularity supposed to quantify good music?
This reminds me of the old joke
Q. What one Deadhead say to the other when they ran out of weed?
A. "Wow man, this music sucks"
Whoa Whoa Whoa!!! Leave my Gagita out of this.
If Luna Park's pricing is too high, they will not do well... But I know that people are paying those prices. They are turning a profit, hopefully. Even more hopefully, that profit will turn it into a more enjoyable park. I think the pricing discussion is akin to the season pass pricing discussions we have had here. $70 at 7 hours is $10/hour of entertainment. It is still more expensive to go to a baseball game.

Not last night..I had free tickets. Only paid for drinks and public transportation costs. Mets lost anyway. What else is new? Ugly...

Not if you move to a city where your baseball team sucks (Pittsburgh Pirates)! $9 left-field bleacher seats FTW. Let's Go Bucs!

Not good things unfortunately. That said, my comment (and our delightful left-field ticket prices) are based more on our history of suck though - I believe last year made 18 consecutive losing seasons? Yea. That said, we have been playing a fair amount of respectable ball of late though... maybe this could be the year*!
*When a Pirates fan says this, it has nothing to do with the World Series. When I say "this could be the year", the implicit part is that this could be the year "that we finally break .500!"

We broke .500 for one day then went on a 6 game skid. Finally working back to .500 - the Bucs don't toally suck this year! :)
