Six Flags announced yesterday the addition of seven new rides to La Ronde for the 2003 season. The lineup includes a variety of flat rides, as well as a wild mouse roller coaster to be called "Toboggan Nordique."

Yeah... that cable ride (in french "Funiqulaire") sucks... I wonder why it stopped working. What I want to know is: When are they going to take that zh!t out? LOL... Yeah I'm sure they are going to do the looney tunes land there next year, where it's near the "Boomerang". Then in 2005 they well do the massive custom coaster where the other place of the ride is, near the "Grande Roue". Yup... Hey does anyone have or have seen pictures of the water ride(s) that were where the "Cobra" is today? I have never seen any of it, and I was just wondering! Thanks.

I just want to know... Did anybody have ever tried the SlingShot??? I haven't, but I planned to do it this year, hehe!

Mrik : I did tried the SlingShot. The feeling is amazing. You should try it.

New Coaster : Hey guys, I think the new coaster is for next year and not in 2005. In fact, the contract as allready been made with Intanim. It's probably be a Superman Ride.

Anyways, See ya

That's cool! But how can you be sure that they really made a deal with Intamin ?

Although nothing is for certain, the rumours are that it is Intamin. Right now though, it's just that, rumours. No one really knows who inked the deal to build La Ronde's new coaster, but either way we can and should consider ourselves very lucky.

For one, Intamin has built some amazing rides. The Superman hypers are considered by many, including myself to be the best line of hypers built. A sick drop, awesome air time, great laterals... These coasters have it all. Only 3 other parks have this ride (SFA, SFNE and SFDL), so if La Ronde does indeed get one, we should be very grateful.

Also, even if it's a B&M hyper, we still win. B&M has been known to produce awesome, reliable, and high capacity machines. Their line of hypers include many top 10 alumni such as Nitro and Raging Bull. Again, if we get a Beamer, we should be grateful.

It's fairly certain that La Ronde will be receiving some sort of hyper and for that fact alone we should be happy. The hyper coaster is my favorite type and would trully elevate La Ronde to the next level of thrills.*** This post was edited by Talon 6/8/2003 7:11:21 PM ****** This post was edited by Talon 6/8/2003 7:11:55 PM ***

Yup... cool cool... but I think that the one roller coaster that delivers absoutly nothing now is "Supermanege". I think it sucks. It's just a waist of space anyways. I hope that Six Flags will take it out and move the boomerang to that space, and then with the over-the-water ride removed... add one brand new B&M or Intamin hyper coaster... and then move a coaster from another park which is still cool because it will attract guests that use to like that coaster to the park... thus, making more money. But before all of this even happens... chickens are gonna fly. LOL. It would be cool if La Ronde would have 10 coasters... most espicially one that would go though a tunnel under the water... whoa... it would be so cool. Well... see ya.

Rock Steady : Yep, your right. The 'super manege' really suck.

Talon : Where do you get your informations about the rumors. Are you from Montreal ? Do you have MSN?

P.S. Good link : www.screamscape.

See ya

YEAH... an on-line community would be so great. I wonder how it would be possible and who would put the effort towards designing it?

I can attempt to set up a site, but I need hits and I need for people to spread the name. I can also set up a board to post at. My only inhibition is that no one will visit and that it will be a waste of time...
Talon : Don't worry..I will suport you
Me TOO

And hey... if you do make a site, make sure you post it here. I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate your hard work.

Hey guys, the site isn't all that great. It's been done on geocities. However, I have set up a nice message board on the site which I wish you would all join. (Discussion will be the focal point of my site, not the site itself). I know that there is no other La Ronde dedicated Message Board on the net, so right now we are unique! I would post the link here, but I am not sure if I am allowed to advertise... Either way, I will e-mail everyone in this thread with the link. How does that sound?

Message for Officianado: I know you don't like to post your e-mail, and I respect that, which is why I'm writing you this message. I hope that you join the message boards as you seem to have an extensive knowledge about the park. You would really help promote strong, intelliegnt discussion and it would be great to have you join the boards. The adress is as follows.
