The only rides they'll be removing is the Astronef and Flying Carpet rides.... Although some rides are moving around. Looking forward to see those pictures on the website. :)

Kris

i'm really sadened knowing that the Flying Carpet ride will be removed! it was one of my fav rides at La Ronde (after Monstre, Vampire and Orbit). It was so old and so jerky that it made the ride unberably fun and scary!

oh well.. we still have a lot of fun rides + the new ones they will add this summer! can't wait to go there in a couple of months!

Wow..those rides will be awesome, I just found a video of a ride like the Manitou...it will be great !!!!

I can't wait !

Those rides look fun..especially the Hawk 24 (Vertigo) with what CHAP! said..underground...O_O.. heh heh

Anyway..2 months aproximatly :)

Here are a few links of pictures of the new rides at La Ronde:

Hi !!

I went to La Ronde this weekend (did not enter, but i can look).

The new ride : Vertigo is near the Vampire and the 'DiscoRonde.'

Manitou is near the Boomerang ; where the 'Astronef' use to be.

Tobbogan Nordique is near the Mcdonald and the Maelstrom.

The Carousel or Tasse Magique is near the entrance.

Rumor: they will install their biggest coaster for 2004.

Hi Officianado, do you know where I can find some pics of all theses new rides?

Thanks,

P.S in 2004 I hope its the Superman ride

A Superman like SFMM or SFDL or SFA ?

If it's one like SFMM then i'd rather have a Nitro clone

heh heh

Thanks for the info !

I'm going to go on the island probably in the upcoming weekend with my digital camera so I could take pics.

I'll tell you all when I upload them !

Thanks Nico,

If I have the time, I'll do the same thing. You will have a better shot on the Jacques Cartier bridge..(if the walk side is open). Or you can park your car near the entrance and walk back to the bridge (Montreal direction). I think that's the best shoot.

(sorry for my english....i suck)

Ps to Cyber : I added you on my msn contact list

Enjoy !

I can't wait to go take pics !

Thanks Nico,

Nice pics!! but I think La Ronde should put more Extreme rides like 'X' or something like the new 'Top Thrill Dragster'.

Maybe one day....:)

Ciao

Officianado,

I think the new Carrousel is in front of the main entrance..E'm I right?

I saw the 'Manitou ride and the Vertigo'......I tought they were bigger.. I Hope they will be fun....

Thanks Offianado!!

You know what I noticed that was pretty weird and funny from last year. I saw that the restaurant near "Boomrang" and "Le Super Manege" was called "La Bouchee X-treme". The X in the logo looked exactly like the one of the ride "X" at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I was wondering what it meant or if it was just there for decoration, but it would be amazingly cool if they would have the 4th dimension coster as the new roller coaster in 2004.*** This post was edited by _RoCk_StEaDy_ 4/13/2003 3:30:55 PM ***
Eh RockSteady, that would be amazing, but i think this is just a decoration.

If they built a new coaster, it won't be near the Bommerang (no space ; exept if they pull out the SuperManege).

But like you say : it would be amazingly cool...

Ciao

Officianado!

I went to La Ronde yesterday and i saw the new ride 'Tasse Magique'. Its pretty nice, but that's it....

I has disappointed by the 'Vertigo' ....its not to high.

Anyways....see ya

P.S. Do you have MSN!!Where do you get all this information....

Yeah, that ride "Le Supere Manege" should be removed to leave space for other new inovative rides. I think they should also remove the travelling ride which goes over the water. It hasn't been working for years and I think it should leave to make room. Oh... and how will they put a ride like "Nitro" when the park doesn't have a lot of room left. Well... I just can't wait in 34 days La Ronde opens.

P.S. I was also wondering when they were going to do the loony tunes area as they planned.

ok... thanks for the info. It really sorted out the misunderstandings. How do you know all of this anyways? lol.

I'm also wondering what colour it would be? I hope a bright red or pitch black with heavy themeing. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
