This looks insane! I'm very happy to see the X-Flight-style restraints. April can't come soon enough!

From the wail of the Banshee blog:
"...unlike other roller coasters, the top speed isn’t reached until halfway through the ride’s course... the total elevation change is 208 feet from the highest point at the top of the lift hill to the lowest point, which is the bottom of the batwing between loops four and five."
It also says 3 trains and 1,650 riders per hour (with no MCBR).
This looks absolutely amazing. I have no doubt Banshee will be a grand slam for the park. And I love the name's homage to Cedar Fair history. I'm practically salivating for 2014.

Lucky you. I think this Banshee will make KI better than CP. Shorter lines, free waterpark, better woody, and better invert do that for a park.
Love the layout. The first drop and first couple inversions remind me of the best parts of my favorite invert, Alpengeist. This has top 10 potential. And the logo is cool. And I really dig the banshee scream in the promo video.
Yep, this is a major win for Kings Island...as expected. :)
Oh, I get it now, the Banshee killed Son of Beast. Clever tie-in.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0prGGzKtAA&feature=c4-overview&list=UUS7Zasb3rlhaYVR_x50AdeA
Diamondback is getting a lot of airplay on the Banshee site. Charlotte's Web at its best. ;-)

Hopefully the restraint issues are fixed by then, I know they were talking about fixing Gatekeepers.
It looks like it takes a pretty big plunge after the first heartline. Looks awesome. Like the color scheme, too.

I don't find any issues with GK's restraints.
I hope that other parks will get the second generation inverts. Holiday World, Kennywood, and a few others could use one. B&M is now officially kicking Intamin's butt, now.
It has a 202 feet difference between high and low point. It doesn't reach top speed till after the zero g roll.

B&M has been since after around 2000 when I feel, Intamin ride designs went to hell. I miss the days of Expedition GeForce, Millennium Force, the SROS's, etc... Today, they just make a bunch of poorly engineered Maverick-type hypercoasters... I know the park asks for them, but I really miss their 2000 designs... Nothing they made recently interests me at all, especially the modern designs like I305 and Skyrush...
B&M has always been solid... I think every year they deliver strong installations. But then again, I am not a g-force fanboy and prefer better ride experiences overall... So rides like Silver Bullet I find fantastic, as well as Great Bear, Leviathan, Manta, Talon, etc... Many of the so-called "forceless" rides.
