I have n Idea what they will build, But realize, They've also removed the Go Kart Ride, Giving them the whole SOB/KART/King Cobra Area, Plus a half mile to the greenhouses and Another half mile to FOF. With Todays Lim Tech. anything is possible.
HOWEVER: The area is big enough for SEVERAL attractions and not just ONE.
Chuck, secretly wishing they'd go for the height, Length, Speed, Furthest drop and MOST LOOPING WOODIE in the world. PLUS Flying Scooters of course!
:)
I am too hoping for a woodie. Now there does happen to be a local ohio company that could handle the design and building of this coaster and they have many fantastic woodies....... Yes would love that and also to see a Lost KI/Coney section of some classic flat rides. Maybe a new set of Eagles since KI's were taken. Time to start expanding the park into that lost wild animal kingdom area..
The park does get pretty busy sometimes, so an expansion into the old animal area would be great, but I don't see it happening. I found out that there was a small rumor within the park employee community before Windseeker was built that they were going to build Windseeker behind Vortex, and allow space for a path to go behind Racers to connect Flight of Fear and Vortex. They were going to add the old classic car ride to the area, and a few new coasters and rides as well into the near future. Seeing them build Windseeker where they did told me that the rumor was false, or that they changed their mind. It is now in the way of extending the path behind Racer.
They said that they would rebuild the classic car ride sometime in the future when they removed it for Stunt Track. Expanding into the area behind Dinoripoffland would be a great place to do it. I have lost hope that they will keep to their word on that, because frankly, I don't know where they would put it... unless they put it in half of the old SOB lot, but that would make no sense with the Action Zone theme. Theme doesn't seem to matter to CF though.

From my understandings and readings, where Windseeker was placed was for different reasons but I am not the expert. I think this clearing and possibility and with the new leadership, they could expand the new clearing into a new area as well as a coaster. Would LOVE to see the old fashioned cars, Eagles, and any other classic ride they could put there. After watching Jeff's latest video and hearing the comments in it, I think there are many changes a coming to the parks and sorry to say but some rides will fall for new ones due to cost, maintenence or other reasons. Sorry to see some go but they do want a fresh new look from my view of it and bring back some of the old style and look at the same time. Kind of a mix of new and old.
I heard they are planning on finishing up the 2nd half of Adventure Express, making it a whole new world-class ride. Currently what is the final lift will be much higher and the ride will go all over the place; plenty of trenches, tunnels and lots of head hunter type animatronics. They also plan on selling special souvenirs for the ride including tiki keepsakes you can wear around your neck.
Well, today is opening day, so I think we just might get more info on the location soon. I'm not going for another couple of weeks, unfortunately.

Is this close to the Dinosaurs Alive thing? I can't imagine that they'd expand the Dino area to that size, but just wanted confirmation.
I tried looking online at a bunch of other sites, and there is absolutely nothing but speculation and rumor. Biggest rumor at this time seems to be another Intamin giga in the style of I-305. I find that a little hard to believe, as the Gigas are pretty rare, and I'd imagine pretty pricey. Now, I don't know the numbers of I-305 to say, "hey, this ride is super successful, so CF should build more of them and riders will flock to it!" However, I've heard decent things about I-305, Millennium Force rarely doesn't have a pretty decent ridership, and smaller Intamin hypers do very well (typically) with crowds. To me, it wouldn't be a bad investment, although with Millie so close, this might give them pause.
What I think would be a great idea? A plug n play hybrid like Toro. Of course I would think that, you say? Think about it: it would retain the wooden coaster vibe in that area, and since Son of Beast was already taken for a name, they could just call it "The Spawn". If CF was a little more edgy, they could even call it Hellspawn. The space would allow for a larger Toro version as well, so it could be absolutely ridiculous fun.

I don't want another wing coaster. With Kings Island being close to CP, they don't want to try to split the Millennium Force fans from CP. Therefor, they should build a Mega Woody that is Voyage-ish. Build it where SOB was. Then, you have the wooden coaster capital of Cedar Fair. Maybe even you could put a GCI where Vortex was. That'd be 5 wooden coasters at KI, (6 if you count Racer as 2) and so the GCI is unlikely. It'd be smart to add another world class woody, though.
The only coaster they lack that I would find perfect for the park is a B&M inverted coaster. I'm sure whatever they are building will be awesome!
Bunky, the SOB area is nowhere near the fake dinosaur exhibit. The huge SOB area is at the front left hand side of the map near Drop Tower, and the Dino thing is at the back left hand side of the map near Windseeker. (This would be the perfect time to display a photo, but I am short on time.)
Speaking of which, I wonder if Windseeker opened with the park.
I think that the park will be spending big money on this coaster. I seem to remember reading that a park spokesperson said that it would be a very big project. The park hasn't been getting much since Diamondback, so maybe they have been saving up for this.

I like seeing any new B&M, Intamin, and GCIs going up around the country, so I would be excited to hear about any of those for KI (I can't really say Gravity Group in there because I have no idea what their rides are like in person). An inverted coaster makes the most sense to me as well, but I like my idea still.
