King Island PR rep. gives a hint

I can already rule out a gigacoaster made by Intamin because if CP has rights to the elevator lift hill, then the lift would weigh to much made by chains. A Valahala type ride is easy to theme and offers a great ride, but probably won't happen. A TA2K won't happen because of the problems at PKD. Tomb Raider has already proven to be a popular movie at the Box Office ($50+ million), so a ride themed to that is most likely. I predict a Men in Black type of ride themed to the popular movie.

2 more days and we will find OUT baybe! woooHOOooo..
I think the building you're talking about is called the "pumphouse." I'm pretty sure it circulated the water through the flume ride.

Some people say that this points to a water-based attraction, but I don't see PKI saving the pump and the building it was housed in. Even if they did save the pump, the likelyhood that it would remain in the same location it's in now is minimal. I'm guessing there is just a better time than during demolition to salvage a part that could be reusable or sellable. We'll know more in about 36 hours.

Hope that helps,
Jacob

Actually, Coastergoose you can't rule out a giga coaster. Holiday World in Germany just got Expedition Ge Force which utilizies the cable lift hill system. CP doesn't have rights to that, Intamin does. And besides Intamin wasn't the first to use it. There is a coaster in Japan that has it and was built way before MF.
I can't wait to find out! I swear I want to know so bad!

Also Scooby-Doo's Ghoster Coaster uses a cable lift system, and it was made by Capiro.

We want an Intamin Giga Coaster, or anything made by Intamin for that matter. Their rides don't break, they're smooth, and we know it works. " ]

Intamin's rides don't break??? When i was at cedar point, millennium force's red train had a problem and had to be taken off the track which caused an hour delay, and just recently superman:ride of steel's (sfdl) chain motor broke and a new one had to be ordered.

Don't get me wrong- i love these rides, but you can't say that they don't break! *** This post was edited by amusementparkfanatic85 on 7/1/2001. ***
Yeah the they break a whole lot!! I was at SFA in April and they had to shut Superman down for the whole day because it got stuck on the lift hill like 5 times in a row!

Not to mention Superman:The Escape at SFMM. (Yeah, but I love Intamin anyways)
I think every coaster has its own share of breakdowns. Some are better than others

all about PKI
the Beasts` Den
I was at PKI yesterday and the preparation was complete. the sign is completely covered by many blue tarps and the ground crews have added jungle themed plantings all around it. The sign itself is about 2 stories tall and completely blocks any view of the fountains. I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow for the big blue tarp to disappear. See everyone in the morning.
(Jumping in a little after the fact...)

Don't boomerangs have elevator lifts, too?

Only 12 hours! Up until now, I haven't been following it much, but now that the announcement is almost here, I can't wait. I hope it is a Giga or tall hyper, then my dad will want to go, and I will be able to go to PKI!

Bull rides:62
Batman rides:40
Nothing much more than another rumor, but a friend of mine talked to a PKI employee who said at least one attraction has a river(town) theme. I guess we'll find out today.
I'm out here in Cali and can't wait to hear the news. It's going to be so hard to sleep tonight! I can't wait to get up and read what it is! I will be going to the park next year and this year as I do anually with my ACE friends all over the east coast!
