Those boxes are for the "Night of Fire" fireworks display. They hold the fireworks themselves. I've seen them before at another fireworks display. That's what Rozzi's Fireworks Co. uses for there shows.

I've been to Kings Island 5 times in the past 2 weeks (kings island is my home park, 10 minutes away) and I have no clue what is going on in the construction site execpt i see a ton of new roads below the Beast all the time. Hopfuly this means something big and it's just not for new flat rides. I was there on thursday and i didnt see the boxes but I didn't look very hard.......

It seems to me that it is a coaster. I mean, they invited Jeff who is a webmaster of a COASTER site. They also have a site up tp follow sonstruction (pki2002.com). I mean, whats exciting about watching them build a building that houses a dark ride?? Dont get me wrong, I would LOVE a dark ride like spiderman, but this thing just spells coaster. Either way I won't be dissapointed. PKI is a great place that I will always return to regardless.

I hope a coaster! Kings Island doesnt have a great steel (that doesn't always have an hour line, a new huge steel would help bring the lines way down for face off and FOF and offer a great steel that i wouldnt mind waiting for like MF.)

Although I hope it's a coaster, I am preparing to be disappointed on Monday morning, but I thought about something. If some dark ride or flat ride is built, it can only draw people away from the already great coaster collection PKI already has, meaning shorter lines. If it is a coaster, even better.

I think its going to be a giga coaster. They already have a hyper if you count SOB so the logical thing is to assume that if they are buliding a coaster, it would be a giga.

It's some type of watercoaster.

Sorry to break the news like this folks. I just read a post over at URC that spilled the beans, and most of us will be disappointed.

It's a new Dippin' Dots stand. Heavily themed.

Seriously, I think we are all pretty sure of the theme, it's just the details of the attraction itself that we'll find out on Monday.

wow this has turned out to be one of CB's biggest threads. I doubt they will get a giga and now i can barely wait to find out what it is. Im hoping for a 9 inversion invert or a 325 giga coaster by intamin. Im guessing they will get a dark ride, whatever they get is gonna be big.

Threads get much larger than this... And lately they have all been about PKI 2002. Seriously, almost all of the new PKI ride threads go to at least 2 or 3 pages.

I`ve been away for the past week on vacation, at Myrtle Beach (riding Hurricane and Swamp Fox) and at Paramount`s Carowinds. Anyway, I haven`t been to PKI for like two weeks, and from the pictures of the "sign" at the front of the park, it looks like the sign will be there permanantly, or at least the rest of the season. After, riding the Super Saturator at Paramount`s Carowinds, I would not be dissapointed if they added one of these rides. I, unforunatly can not be at the park on Monday, but will be on the coasterbuzz (or PKI`s site) for the latest news on their 30th anniversary attractions. (I hope at least one will be tunnels on Son of Beast!)

Coastersrz, that concrete you see was fabricated not on site, but at a plant. If you look closely, you can actually see handles that they used to install it with.

Whatever it is, it will be good. I know PKI wont disappoint
