Kennywood..New Ride 2005?

NO, kpjp said KP does not own any of those parking/food/retail that everyone thinks a 'big'en' ride is going on. I believe him, even though he takes off on weekends.

This whole rumor mill started about 5 yrs. ago when Penn. ACErs talked some fool-hardy idea of parking on the hillside on the hillside behind the Racer down to the valley. Of course, they had no idea of the $12,000 per space tag on constructing a parking garage. No one has any concept of $$$$.

There is no "hint"--KpExpress is just making a reference to King Kahuna, a Top Spin installed last year that used water effects before they started messing up the ride.

Yep.

The legend continues
Not only the $12k a space price tag, but that parking would actually be a pay service at Kennywood if there was a garage, which would really tick off the locals who already have a very soft spot for parking "price gouging"

Just because the parking garages charge $5.00 per quarter hour "duntun"?
It's dahntahn, get it right ya jagoff.

Actually Pittsburgh's parking is very reasonable compared to other cities, but considering many people in Pittsburgh consider going to the next county over "the big vacation", they don't really know any better. But, they recently jacked up the parking tax by like 1% and of course, all the prices went up 10-15% ... and everyone blamed the tax hike for it. Gotta love the dumb public ...

Let's not get testy now. My generation pronounced it more like duntun, and that's longer ago than I care to think about. Yes, parking in the "Burgh is cheap compared to NYC. In San Diego it's $10-$20 a day, with gas going for $2.50 plus a gallon. I know exactly what you mean about people taking their vacation in the next county. When I was growing up there were people who had never, I mean NEVER left the valley. A lot wouldn't have if weren't for WWII. *** Edited 10/29/2004 4:03:25 AM UTC by Dutchman***
