Jeff How do you pay for all this?

May I suggest you take your tinfoil badge and ride your wooden horsey stick outta Dodge while the rest of us enjoy ourselves?

Nice one playa, how long did it take you to come up with that?

Anyway, do whatever makes you feel good about yourself.

What kills me is the constant whining of "I am poor, I don't have $20 to waste."

About that. I'm not poor, but I'm far from rich. If I have $20.00 extra bucks, I'll use it in a way I think is usefull. I don't need to join the coasterbuzz club. Pop-up's don't bother me at all. There is just no reason in in my mind to join. I'm fine where I am.

-----------------

The thing that gets me is that people spend more than 20 bucks most of the time for Internet access. If they would just consider the one time fee of $20 as part of Internet access, I am sure it would be much easier to justify paying it.

Once again, this is true. It's not about the money. I could spend $20.00 to join but it's not necessary. I don't mind the pop-up's and I'm fine where I am, so why bother?

By the way Vipper, I only spend $2.00 a month on Internet access. :-)

Do what you want, but I choose to save my money for more important things.

To be completely honest, I have strategic planning on when to join CBClub. Since the only parks within reasonable distance are CP and MIA, to buy a membership right now would be somewhat silly. So I'm planning to buy a membership in April or May, before CoasterMania at CP and TimbersFest at MIA. The pop-ups in the meantime aren't killing me or my computer.

And I only spend $3/month on AOL access. DaimlerChrysler rocks :)

Let me try this in the 'Three weak paragraph' style someone else might understand better:

Uhhhh.....didn't you express your widdle opinion four posts ago?

Did it change between now and then?

So why are you still here?

I had forgetten about that time Playa, but thanks for bringing me back to some of those good ol' times again. Some things I said are completely laughable and the spelling errors are horrendous, so it was something I needed to go back to. I think I've come a little further with respect to... everything! On the boards, you helped out with a lot of that happening as well, so thanks again!

If you want an update on my Magnum Love for this year, let's just say I had such a beautiful ride experience at night and it was, umm, a little misty, yeah! ;)

I still think Wild Thing has butt ugly trains though, but I'll put my foot in my mouth for being ignorant on the general layout previously. Oops!

Jeff, Dinner's ready! :)

Why should you spend the $20? Did you not see the part where Jeff said that if not for the club, CB wouldn't exist? Where else would you display your stupidity if not here?

It wasn't all that bad...you just didn't realize I was setting you up to doink you later. Plus I could work in a few good yuks on the way.

You think? But never mind the colors...the nose is way, way too long and the bodies are too wide. You lose a lot of the sense of danger. This is sadly true of all the Morgan hyper trains.

But while we're all having this little love-in, let me tell you a something most people don't know. When Jeff closed the Magnum Love Thread, I got seriously pissed off. I mean, the fight had ended as far as I could see and I didn't agree with his decision.

So what did I do? I didn't open a new thread to keep my subject alive. Nor did I open a thread complaining about the closure. I didn't IM or E-mail Jeff and whine about it either. I closed my account and moved back to URC. That was that. No pissing and moaning, no burned bridges. I figured I was a provider of ridiculously high-quality free content and would simply stop providing it.

When I felt like coming back, I came back. Did I change my style upon my return? Well, what do you think? Not really. Of course, it must be noted I honed my persona for several years at URC before there ever was a CoasterBuzz. But folks who got it before still got it and more and more people began to figure it out. On the other hand, by then many were familiar with fellow URC alum (and longtime fan) 2Hostyl, so the Playa style wasn't such a shock.

So that's why I have a big problem with "Jeff this, Jeff that, Jeff's club, it's his board" whiners. They're only painting themselves into a corner. If you aren't happy, be grown-up about it and leave. I did.

Mark W. Baruth-

Yeah I enjoy coasterbuzz, but it's not my life. If coasterbuzz were to ever just stop, I think I would be able to go on with life. I enjoy coasterbuzz but I enjoy many other sites. I'm not going to pay for all of the sites I go onto each day. If you want to pay the $20.00 that's fine. To each his own.

When I say I can't afford it right now, I mean it. There's so little, I have serious problems parting with any of it, even for that tube of toothpaste I had to get when my first one ran out!

Yeah, I know... I need a job...

P.S. Jeff, I promise I will join, as soon as I can be sure that joining won't make me have to go five weeks without doing laundry.

rentzy387: Well like I said, the only parks within reasonable distance are CP and MIA. The only perks to being in CBClub and being moderately close to CP and MIA is CoasterMania and TimbersFest, respectively.. In the meantime, I can spend my $20 on other things, like bolt-ons to my PT Cruiser

Ooooohhhh! Ok. I didn't know that with a CB memebership you get access to CoasterMania. Thank you for clearing that up.

And don't forget $15 admission to HW either (thanks Paula). There is something in it for you beyond goofing off on the board ad-free.

So happy we're back to the *topic at hand*, I'll reply again. Being an ACE member, the only "perk" I got was ad-free surfing...and yes, I *could* have DL'd a pop-up killer...but seriously, the $20 wasn't going to do nearly as much for me as C'buzz does in providing an entertaining diversion from life in general...

If the money was an issue, and I needed to get access to the events and discounts, it would be a real no-brainer....it's not like I actually "learn" anything from the ACE mags anymore...;)

bill, anxiously awaiting Jodi's review of Xcelerator and "the new X"....

I can't tell you how tired I am of seeing my name. My theory is that if anyone comes to this site and wants to make it more about me than the topic of our obsession, they really should go elsewhere. Talking about me is pretty boring.

And what gets me more than anything is that after two nights in a row of closing Cedar Point, riding like crazy, playing DDR with my friends and consuming entirely too much junk food, this is what people want to talk about most. Just doesn't seem right.

What did you do this weekend?
