Japanese B&M inverter makes its way to Jazzland

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Amusement Today reports that Gambit, a Batman mirrored clone from Thrill Valley Amusement Park in Japan, was purchased by Six Flags and is now arriving at Jazzland, which is being managed by Six Flags.

That is a true shame to let 6 coasters sit and rot and than send them to a scrapyard. It makes me kinda angry actually.

Back to the topic, Six Flags is not really doing this to help Jazzland out. They are doing it to help themselves out, but it is also helping Jazzland out and that is good.

How are they not helping Jazzland if they are helping themselves?

Viper, Joker's Revenge AND Whizzer...all in the same park.....:)

bill, booking a flight to Nawlins right now, grabbing my bowl and spoon too, 'cause I would absolutely LOVE them with a not-so-small side order of Jambalaya...

From the pictures on screamscape, it looks like a huss breakdance has already arrived. In some other pictures of Gambit in Japan I also saw a zamperla flat ride like the one at knotts, and mall of america. I wonder what else the park bought?
chris, they are helping Jazzland, as I did say in my post. But they are not doing to help Jazzland, more for themselves. But they are helping Jazzland at the same time.
Duck (I am assuming not the "Duck" from The Five Heartbeats), if SFI did not put in to manage/own Jazzland, there may not be a Jazzland. OF COURSE they are adding rides to build up the park. And yes, they are only doing it because Jazzland will soon be part of the SF family.

But what I want to know is, under what other circumstances would SFI want to add rides to Jazzland except to help the overall bottom line? It is almost as if you are suggesting that SFI should just donate rides to the park and expect nothing in return. But I know you are intelligent and do not mean to suggest that. It must be that my mind isnt working correctly, so please (as Denzel said in Philadelphia) "Explain it to me like I'm a four year old".

The Shy One-

When we see track at a park, don't we all hope it's some kind of mega-looper? I'm happy Jazzland is building a namtab, amd I'm going to ride it. It's great to see an exciting new ride in a "troubled" park like Jazzland. Please don't say my words are "stupid and immature" just for wishing it was something better. *** This post was edited by TheKraken on 8/8/2002. ***

What I am trying to say is that Six Flags would not do this if there wasn't something in it for them. And of course there is something in it for them as this park will soon be a SF park.

Ducky - Right, but I don't get your point. The only reason any chain (or independent, for that matter) puts in a new attraction is "because there's something in it for them."

Holiday World doesn't put in a new ride as some sort of philanthropic endeavor, nor does Six Flags. They do it to attract more guests so that they can make more money.

What is Six Flags doing, trying to make more money or something? What kind of business sense does that make? Those guys sure are stupid! ;)

Oh man, give Gambit to Enchanted Village if Jazzland fans don't want it. We'd KILL for a B&M in the Northwest, and I fear we'll never get one. Unless B&M builds somethign that looks like a tree or whatever SF thinks us hicks up here in WA will ride. Anyone else notice everything new at SFEV is themed for a lumberjack??
