I'm no computer expert here, but if you don't have an NVidia Card or an ATI card, you probably don't have a prayer of running this game.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

You're boned. No chance it's going to run on that video hardware.

Well he *did* say "with a new video card, of course". However, methinks that even *with* a new vid card this comp is going to struggle with RCT3. Windows Me (yuck) already eats up most of the 128MB of memory so the game would chug. And the CPU is about at the bare minimun required. With a new vid card, you *might* be able to play the game, but you'd have no fun with it.

My suggestion: plan on upgrading your computer like Kyle is :)

Thanks

I really didn't think I had a chance anyway, since my computer is, like, 4 years old and I'm not really sure about upgrades and stuff because I'm not a computer expert, but thanks anyway.

I haven't really followed the patching of the game since I haven't gotten it....have many of the earlier issues been addressed?

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

I got a error message as I was turning on the game for the first time.

Failed to create Direct3D Device

This device has also been sent to debug.log

So, any clue what is wrong? I check the game's website and it went through the process of checking my computer to see if I have the right stuff and what not. It passed so before I write a email to Atari I wanted to go here.

Gomez: i got that error a few times. on the third reinstall, i never got it again...
I'm not a techie, so i have no idea why it came, much less why it left.

I beleive I had that problem but it seemes just to be a generic driver for my card installed by microsoft, so i just installed the right driver from the disk, and things were fine.
Yep, I called Atari and they sent me to a site to update my driver. It worked! Man this game has cool points, but many, many bad.
Some people don't realize is some of the most frustrating problems are the easiest to fix. LOL! :)
