If anyone goes to the park tomorrow can they take pics of the crane and try to figuire out how tall it is? This might be our first proof as of how high we will go in '03.
The picture does look real as the crane looks real too.
Well the height of the crane will really be no indication at all. Cranes have extensions that can be added on, They are usually at a slight outward angle and connect to the end of the boom. PKI used a rather large extension on Drop Zone but the crane itself did not apear to be as big as the one being used at CP.
If the crane is 300ft tall, Another 100ft extension is possible, Seemes to be a general rule (Half as big as the boom)

cough cough FAKE!! cough cough...
Come on, why would somebody be so quick to dog something this great if they are a coaster enthusiast?? It's because they don't want to be sucked into something that might not be real and get their hopes stomped on. Some of you need to calm down and wait for an announcement instead of starting up this kind of post because it ends up going nowhere, I don't care how sure you are and what sources you have.

Long live Six Flags Astroworld!! Ok, you can all laugh now...
I'm not sure what your talking about. What's the huge deal if vertical construction has started. Obviously, CP *IS* getting a coaster. Vertical construction is to be expected. How else is it going to be built. So who cares if it's real or not. What does this change? Chill out, and see how in plays out in the morning.

I am NOT in denial, I have never said that Cedar Point isn't getting a huge coaster, though I personally think that the 400 ft. thing is a bit much... It just seems that people are getting the real world mixed up with RCT.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but I don't even think you can't even get up to 400ft in RCT. As of now, the coaster world is a lot more advanced than RCT IMO.
No Limit's is a whole different story though.

Well, for all you nay sayers... especially drachenfyre... those pictures speak volumes that...
...hey, it's not a fake.
Then again, if you really thought that construction of a FEW SIMPLE SUPPORTS was a fake, then you really have issues... seriously.
If they had pictures of track already assembled, I can see where it may have been false, but these were simple supports that only half of you believed... and some of you even ran it through some "tests"?!? You've really got to get out more!
At the very least, this will get everyone who disbelieves to shut up about "fake" or "doctored up" photos...

Dawg --- who never lost faith that anything can happen!
Anyone know why on the supports that are assembled that one side of the triangle type thing that is up there is a catwalk looking thing. Its not temporary because if you look at the last pic you can tell that its on there and not goin any where, it looks to be welded on

You can't build over 400 feet in RCT.
They're real. I spoke too soon, and now I'm eating my hat.
Aside from that, I'm too Xcited about this! New coaster! Ayayayayaa!

I think I'm going to change my opinion now that I've seen all of those photos...they are total fakes! I mean c'mon, they are sooo pixelated and the joints don't line up. Those supports in the parking lot are just MF's and have been changed in photoshop!

I believe the weird supports we all seen are used to form these catwalks. Hmmm Xcelerator-style brakes... Btw, just some speculation, but that big yellow structure reminds me of MF's first overbanked hill structure, but that one has a square base. Could also be used for a (rev)tophat ofcourse...
Now let me wipe up my drool...
