Why wouldn't it be real?

All the other elements seem in place. They are simply starting the supports for the 430ft Launched Intamin :)

no, extremly fake! blah that was so bad.... the cran looks like its about 1,000 feet tall, and dosent seem to 'come' from anywhere, and the supports just look "too" good for a picture taken that far away from them :-/
That 1000 foot crane idea... is called perspective.

You mean they are putting suppourts up before they had footers poured? That is the most interesting construction proccess I have ever heard of....

(Or did they have footers poured previously)?

I just know that with Xcelerator, they dug every hole, poured every footer and then started placing track. And they did the launch and station first, followed by the turnaround.

Xcelerator-
0-82 in 2.3 seconds! =Wow!

I could be real. It looks to be in the old Dogem area, and those footers have already been through the curing process. Oh well, if it is or isn't real, we will find out this weekend.

Cedar Point 2003, and it begins...

I doubt it's real. It would be all over these boards and others that vertical construction has started at the Point. Pretty good photo editing, though. Besides, if it was, some of that might have been in the other pictures. There are pictures up close of the work area (footers and more). Why wouldn't they get any good pictures of the supports towering into the air? That crane does look huge, too.

EDIT: So confused! I just talked to a friend at who works at CP and he said that they are going up. So they're real. Unless he's screwing with me. Arg! Need more proof!

Well, it was all over that construction started. Maybe it's real.

HOLY CRAP, what's that thing in picture 4? Transfer track stuff? Launch equipment? EDIT: 20 seconds after posting I realized that's Choas, isn't it? :)

I heard on another Board that some supports had started to go up. It could be real because I went in june and the area was already fenced off and I beleive the footers had already been poured.

Well...the footers in Area 51 were in a trianglular shape and the supports seems to echo that shape. Also the supports on-site are the same color as what in the picture. I don't think the photo's a fake.

Peabody - photo #4 is the dismantled Chaos.

Is the tower so big as opposed to the tower supports for xcelerator and wicked twister because they need more room for the twin dueling tracks?

God I hope so!

also---look at the angled supports in the tower it self. Maybe it will be twisting around and through the tower.

Just a thought?

I will be sure to let everyone know ( if someone else doesn't beat me to it ) if this picture is real or not. I am going Sept. 21st and will let everyone know then.

Got Coasters?

I wouldn't get too antsy about the dueling aspect of this ride guys.

Yeah. This whole dueling thing seems a little far-fetched.

Hmmm...I am not sure about that one. It seems like it could be real. Hopefully someone will get to the park soon.

Everyone says that it won't be dueling or racing or twin.... BUT Give me some examples of roller coasters that have multi-colored track? I cannot think of any that come to mind. If anyone has any examples from RCDB.COM or other websites, please share. Until then I am holding firm to my belief that this is going to be racing , dueling or twin etc etc blah blah blah...

Red track and White track...Why two different colors?

craps36 - California Screaming is one that comes right to mind, and that's an Intamin. White track except for station and launch, which is pale blue. Expedition GE-Force is another that has both orange and grey track. Hmmm...another Intamin. I'm sure there are others if I gave it some thought.

In other words....don't read so much into more than one color.

Didn't good old Shwartzoph (I know I slaughtered the name, but hey its a given) construct some coasters with multicolored track?

It's pretty sad that somebody actually took the time to do that if it is really a fake picture.

millenium force is 310 feet high and 80 degrees, hold on, im getting veclemt, talk amongst yourself, i'll give you a topic, Kings Island is neither the kings nor an island discuss

That's some damn good photo editing if it's fake. Put it in photoshop, cranked up the zoom, and i can't see any sign of it being a fake. It's quite possible they got some supports up this week. I can't say I believe it but it's possible. It's also curious that there's only one picture of it. You would think that if there was any vertical construction there would be multiple pictures
