what are your two exceptions coasterdude? I can name a lot that are great examples of arrow rides. Gemini, Magnum both at CP, Ninja and X at SFMM, The Big One at Blackpool, Desperado at Buffalo Bobs or what ever that place is called(I was drunk, its a casino come on), Tennesse Tornado at Dollywood(great Ride), Dragon Mountain at Marineland(Best use of tunnels ever) and the Adventure Express at KI.
There are a many great Arrow ride out there you just haven't been on them.
I'm Out
Magnum is crap. Ninja was boring. I hear nothing but bad things about Desperado and the Big One. Adventure Express (PKI) is a stupid ride. And now I'm hearing bad things about X too.
I've not been on every Arrow ride, but I've been on enough to know that I don't like them.

What Ninja are you talking about the only one named Ninja that Arrow built is at SFMM. The ones at SFStL and SFOG are built by Vekoma.

On Sunday, Oct 27th 2002, I rode The Orient Express @ WOF 60 times.

Ah, but the best part is naming a guest Elissa White and having her queue up for SFH's Intamin. It's funny to see "Elissa White" get so excited about queueing up for "Goliath" in the guest windows. ;-)
LOL! That is pretty funny. Now you should name an Impulse Deja Vu so she get so excited about that too! =)
Had anyone tried if it works with the Intamin Bobsled or Gyro Drop?

You didn't read my Blackpool trip report, then ;) I loved the Big One.

Well, I did notice that after Goliath she rode the SFH SLC twice in a row :P

Sawblade - apparently, it's difficult to understand that I was talking about SFMM's Ninja. And yes, it was boring and rough.
As for Magnum, well, don't get me started. I've ridden it enough to know it's boring and painful.
And Greg, not even the British like the Big one. ;-)

Boring? Painful I can see...
But I would think that the pain itself (if not the 194 foot drop, or at least the picturesque view of lake Erie) would keep the ride from being classified as boring.
No, it's boring. The view from Nitro is better. Magnum does nothing exciting.
The first drop is a *ramp*. I could roll up that thing in a wheelchair. Then comes another couple of hills that do *nothing* - no air, no positive g's, nothing. Then comes that long stretch of brakes that makes me laugh because it's so pathetic. Then the ride bangs its way through an uninteresting turnaround. Then come the /\/\/\/\ hills - all big ramps. There's no feeling of the ride dropping out from under you, just being painfully jolted up into the lapbar because the hills are so poorly designed. Then there's a five minute period where the train rolls back to the station the longest way imaginable. And then the best part - the exit, so I can go back over to Millennium Force. I hate Magnum.

Nate: You're a crack baby. Millions of people know better than you about how much ass Magnum kicks.

Oh, sure. They're probably (a) people who rode it in 1989 and are still convinced it's the best thing ever built and/or (b) Cedar Point brats who just won't admitt that Magnum pales in comparison to every hypercoaster out there. ;) Ride an Intamin.
-Nate
Crap or not, how is it a matter of millions knowing better than him because he didn't like it or think it was designed well? Opinions have nothing to do with knowledge.

I'm not an enthusiast, I just play one on message boards.

You are on crack. I first visited Cedar Point last year and I can say without a doubt that Magnum is one of the best damn coasters in the park, especially at night!

Anyone who says that Magnum doesn't have airtime is trolling and looking for trouble. I've got the bruises on my thighs to prove it.

None of the above, and I still love it...

TOGO!
Vekoma!
The first few hills on Magnum *don't* have airtime! They do nothing, in fact, other than *maybe* some very minimal float on a good day. The return hills have what you might call airtime, but I don't think being ejected into a lapbar is fun or comfortable (notice that, above, I never said Magnum doesn't have airtime anywhere, just not on the first few hills). To me, it's just a big, uninteresting, poorly engineered ride. I don't understand the appeal.
