3. Flaming
In our efforts to maintain Coasterbuzz as a family-oriented site, the art of flaming is strictly prohibited in the forums. We define flaming as the intent of the topic is to spark a flame war, objectionable retaliation, and the like. Examples of these topics would include; My park is better than your park.., or Park X sucks... etc. Offending posts that spark this type of flaming will be removed, and the offender may be banned from making any further posts in our forum.
Is his post going to get deleting now? Or is calling some members think headed OK, but calling jeff a hypocrite isnt?
Anyways, I tend to agree with the people complaining. Jeff is a hypocrite (I had already been banned countless times over for calling him one). I also agree that contacting him is next to pointless. I too have emailed and IMed him, but to no avail. I do think this is a great site for news, but the forums are generally filled with a bunch of hypocrite mods who go around flaming members and when they defend themselves there post is deleted and the user is banned.
Will someone tell me what is wrong with calling Jeff a Hypocrite? It's a valid complaint, is it not? If jeff actually answered his IM's and emails it wouldnt have to be brought up on the boards, but since he doesn't where else it is suppose to go?

I just started coming to your board about a week ago and I just want to Complimant you on your excellant board. This has got to be one of the best on the internet. I have found out a lot of information here that I would've oridinarilly would have gotten by calling long distance to Cedar Point. I personally don't think your being to harsh on the topics, o all I have to say is keep up the good work!

If you don't like it, leave. This site is incredibly popular, obviously, and I really don't think that Jeff is exactly struggling to get people to view and participate in the site. In fact, if half of the people that complained about the strict moderation of this board left, maybe he'd be able to save 2 cents on bandwith. yay!
Ok, everybody go read a book, expand your mind. Something. Don't most of you have homework you could be doing?

i dunno if you noticed this yet, but there is a "coasterbuzz club" where you have to PAY. i know its not much, but im sure there is some profit in there somewhere (if not all profit, he brags that he has connections almost constantly). so theres your answer right there...

I'm another that usually never steps into this stuff, but it's really depressing to me that there are some people that can't understand why there needs to be things like TOS's.
Asking someone to try and spell correctly is not unreasonable. Every time our language is butchered by some kid who has paid no attention to even middle school English makes me wonder where this country is headed. This is the language that we need to communicate in this medium; if it becomes unreadable, the medium itself becomes worthless.

People aren't going to become a member to the Coasterbuzz Club if they don't agree with the way Jeff runs his site. But look! He seems to have a healthy membership. Obviously many people agree with his TOS. I'm one of them. And for those of us who don't have a membership, we most certainly are NOT buying anything from Jeff. That store comment just doesn't work. Sorry.

what are you talking about worrying where this country is headed with bad spellers... last time i checked the people had to vote for the leaders of this country, so dont worry about the bad spellers, worry about the voters who are voting for the bad spellers if your that worried...
and to get a bit more on topic, nobody is really complaining about the bad spelling part in the TOS, i agree, that is totally resonable. but were not talking about the TOS, we are talking about the guy who MADE the TOS breaking it constantly and not seeming to care that it bothers people that he is a raging hypocrite...

Jeff, With the software piracy speech, if people commit this so called "Crime" that's their business, not yours and if they get in trouble with the law, that's their business, not yours and I've heard your Software Piracy speech before and I really think that all your trying to do is keep your website perfect, and family friendly, There's nothing wrong with that, but what I want to know is.........
I hate to go into it but, You wont let people compare rides, or parks, you won't let them get help for something like RCT if they have viruses, theres alot more but it's too much to explain.
