What a well writen review Niiicolaaah. Thank you. I was fortunate enough to attend the opening, and suspect the new trims effected the ride exactly how you describe it - ARG.
Travis, I completely understand your point of view, since I live in Boston and would be far less motivated to make the drive now with these changes (sorry KD, the truth can hurt). I'm 51 Travis and made the drive for the opening (chuckling over your age), and was thinkng splitting the gas between a few passengers. For example, four people could go for less than $100 per person, splitting gas and being cost effective with food (BBQ?)
Jeff's right, this is still a moving target and may not get "fixed" until next season. If memory serves me correctly, it took CP 3 years to fix Magnums third hill.
Tom
You know, the funny thing is that this would've been a near perfect ride if the first hill was 250 feet, or even a hair shorter, with no brakes until the end.
So who will do the math of the G's pulled on that first turn at 93 mph vs. 90mph? I suppose we'd have to know what the radius of the turn is, and I suspect the difference would be negligible, making this all a big waste of time. :)

Funny to me is that I had NO problem with the drop/turn. All of my complaints came from the overly-quick transitions combined with the OTSRs.
My friend and I rode it today for the first time, and we both agree wholeheartedly. Without getting long-winded about it, I'd say the banging of the temples and the stapling of the thighs distracted us from enjoying the better elements of the ride, which is something neither of us has a problem with on Maverick, which has similar OTSRs.
Intrimidator. HA! That's a really good one, niiicolaaah!
I'd love to see a logo with that on it. :)

Someone care to inform me why Intamin is now using OTSR's on everything? Don't tell me it is because a couple guests got tossed. Though I imagine it may have something to do with it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for safety, but i would rather have the slim tiny chance of getting thrown and have lapbars over OTSR's.
Here's a thought, have a lapbar train, sign a waiver, if I am thrown out of the lapbar train, I chose to ride it and it is not the park's fault.
I hate OTSR's, trims also. I would rather black out in the turn from going a bajillion mph. :)
I-305 reminds me of early RCT designs, I would always build the steelies with the biggest lift hill possible, and then they would always be of 20 intensity, no one would ride, but it looked damn cool. Solution, keep the big ass hill and trim the remainder of the ride. I should work for Intamin, I would fit in perfectly. ;)

Maybe this ride broke a world record after all. It probably has the biggest trim brake on a first drop in the world :)

I'm jealous of I-305. At least somebody's getting some trim these days.... ;)
Man..I don't think I've seen or heard "trim" used in THAT context since the last time I saw 48 Hrs. with Eddie Murphy....or since I became an "enthusiASS"...whichever came first.

79.5? What's with the decimal point? That's goofy.
That's significantly slower than 94 MPH? I have decided that I don't care about I-305 anymore. "Whatever".
I wish CF would just take Intamin to court already. They ultimately didn't deliver the ride that they said they would. I can see Judge Judy throwing the book at them. :)

this is turning into the biggest waste of $25 million dollars in Cedar Fair history.
Is attendance at KD up or down this year? If they didn't trim it and attendance declined, that would be the biggest waster of $25m. If attendance is up, CF could care less about 14.5mph.

I think you mean they couldn't care less.
