HW Has reported!

Hades a kiddie ride? Not quite. Hades' total elevation change and Voyage's first drop are within 4 feet of each other.

But they're both gorgeous rides...

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Who's building it BTW? GCI? Custom Coasters? Gracity Group? Hmm. Sorry if its already mentioned, I have to go in a minute.

^^ Yea I agree, both of these rides are beautiful. Even if this ride beats Hades a bit in the stats, Hades still has the cool trick of throwing you into pitch darkness for a long period of time, and throwing you around like a rag doll. This ride however... wow. Everything I could ever want in a wooden coaster.

Great Job HW! I think I might have to make my first drive up there next year.

Wow, just wow! What a birthday present for me! Thank you Holiday World for making my birthday!

It looks like this coaster is building on what made Hades great and making it even better. I will DEFINATELY be out next year to ride this and revisit my friends Legend and Raven once again.

Certain victory.

Gravity Group is building this masterpiece!

These guys are suddenly becoming my favorite ride builder, Hades was amazing, and Voyage looks like a dream come true. *** Edited 7/13/2005 4:54:06 PM UTC by Dan D McD***

Wow! I can't wait to ride the new woodie...at Beech Bend! ;)

I'm kidding! There's room in my heart to love them all! :)

HW, you really shocked me...

They Live. We Sleep.

If Holiday World doesn't hit it this year, I think it's safe to say that they will join the million guests in a single season club with the addition of The Voyage.

If this is what they can do with wood, I don't ever want them to ever build a steel coaster...

It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.
Gravity Group, with PTC trains. Custom Coasters went out of business a few years ago, Colin :)
Raven track length: 2731'

Legend track length: 4042'

Total: 6773'

Voyage track length: 6442'

It's almost like two coasters in one shot. :) Did anyone even CONCEIVE that HW would attempt something this big? Paula, I personally thank you (and Will and the whole staff) for the biggest case of NON-anticipointment in a long time.

I may have to make good on those chocolates anyway out of sheer appreciation. ;)

My heart and prayers goes out to Holiday World's server right now.

WOW! I asked for an out and back, hoped they wouldn't discard the Tilt and was just commenting that the "lazy river" was awfully crowded....

I agree on the hills - The Nina, The Pinta, and The Santa Maria -- Paula, Will, are you listening?

Can't wait to see this dark ride! I'm so GLAD we have a season pass!

So sad they built it with steel supports, by 2009 the coaster will be a joke. Why dont we learn from history? The coaster looks amazing...untill i saw the steel structure....

Wow...it only took about 10 mins for the first person to complain. Nice going, jar!

Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria were the boats that sailed to Jamestown. The Mayflower was the boat that sailed to plymouth rock carrying the settlers that celebrated the first Thanksgiving.
Just, you know. in case anyone cares.

I, unfortunately, think you predicted that time right too, Moosh. :(

I was thinking that too, Themedesigner!

Yeah Moosh. And thats okay, I hope he doesn't go ride next year. Less time I have to wait. This ride will suck, you don't need to go ride. It will be SoB rough, and Beast Boring.

Stay Away from Holiday World in 2006!

:)

From the press release:

"Koch predicts a 10-percent increase in attendance next year, plus the creation of 100 new seasonal positions."

heh heh. 10 percent. I wouldn't be surprised to see 20% at least. This thing is BIG TIME.

LOL G...its about the only thing I predicted right ;) My guesses were HORRID and should prove that I had zero insider knowledge this time 'round.

Easter? BUZZ - no! Carousel? BUZZ - no! Expanded lockers/changing room? BUZZ - no! I think the only thing I got right was the woodie...and who didn't think that was coming?

Oh well...I couldn't be happier to be wrong. Kudos to Paula for taking us on a ride that will undoubtedly only be surpassed by The Voyage itself ;)

ThemeDesigner, does that mean Columbus sailed on the Discovery, Susan Constant and Godspeed?

After watching that promo video I'm speachless.

They claim to have the most airtime on any wooden coaster with 24.2 seconds. How does this compare to Shivering Timbers?

Well, I hate to see Shivering Timbers lose its record, but Holiday World is the park I'd like to see Timbers lose its record to.
