HW 2009

I totally agree with the extended hours for the park. Not only for those night rides on the three woodies, but for the whole park experiance. Every park is better at night. The lights just seem to bring out a special charm that is not there during the day. And the night "charm" at HW is exceptional due to the fact that it has so many trees and nature left inside the park. And with the sun going down when it does during the summer in Southern Indiana, you only get about 30 minutes of night during the week and 90 minutes on Saturday. When they made the 30 minute schedule change this past year, I would have much rather seen them move to other direction. Open later, close later. I am about a 45 minute drive from the park. If they were to extend the hours a bit, I would fork over the money for a season pass and hit the park in the evenings after work. As it stands now, by the time I get off work, it is not worth the drive over for no more ride time that is left. It would require the addition of a lot of lighting, but SS would also be a great place to visit after dark.

Life is an amusment park -and I can't get off of the damn spinning teacups!

Not being a smartass here, but aren't there a lot of good reasons for a water park to not stay open after dark?

They're not talking about Splashin' Safari (which has it's own set of operating hours).

Am I missing something here

Title of todays Holiblog... " Back to our regularly scheduled coaster..."
Could anything scream "new coaster" more than that.

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.

Yes, actually.

The words "new coaster" would...
Well you might hear "new coaster" on Tuesday, of course you might also hear "Zamperla Power Surge." Who knows, maybe both, I am truly confused on the possibilities.

On twitter Paula said "200 followers..can't imagine what caused the surge", and 2 posts later she said "How odd. Some clues aren't even intentional, yet still ring true." A Zamperla Power Surge looks like a ring, and it would not take a lot of that 8.4 million.

When Indiana Beach was announcing their new ride for last year a LOT of people hoped for something similar to replace Chaos.

Maybe a Moser Star Discovery model.
I pray that it ends up being the Moser Energy Winder concept, but I doubt it.

There is something about a power surge that does not fit the demographic Holiday World shoots for. And I have been told more than one time by Paula that not everything is a hint.
What demographic? As Paula pointed out earlier their motto is "#1 For Family Fun." Does that mean that everyone in the family needs to be able to ride every ride? Thats not exactly the case with The Voyage. They make it so there is something for the entire family. They have never really targeted the teen side of the family maybe this is the year.

Not sure where they got their info, but this is a reliable source.

I am not sure what info in that is new.
I got a :)FREE:) Airline Ticket last week while en route to Waldameer for the G.O.C.C. Event. What happens this Tuesday will determine where I'll go next year with it.

If HW gets a new Coaster it will be Indianapolis!

If Not it will be Minneapolis!

Answer my Prayers, Overbook my next Flight!

I am thinking you will want to go to Indy...
hoffman... record breaking, worlds tallest of its kind.... Sounds like new info to me... Paula has not said anything like that yet.

Borntocoast... about the FREE ticket. Would it not be better for you to go to Louisville, KY (SDF) that airport is a lot closer to HW than (IND)

Oh... umm I read it in the press release I got from Paula so I could post it to our news blog... Sorry, I thought that was common knowledge.

Yes, she did. In recent blog posts.

WooHooBoy - none of the info in that article was new info.

Thanks, Moosh. Here I thought I was nuts. Oh wait I am...
Well sorry for posting redundant info, it was new info to me. I remembered her talking about Korey possibly being the worlds tallest coaster designer, but I do not recall anything about this ride being the worlds tallest. Oh well. I know they are getting more than one ride. Does anybody think the Moser EnergyWinder concept is a possibility?
