Holiday World event 2012: Does this work?

So... how about that event date?

Is Boobuzz staying on the first Friday of October? That information might help in deciding a date.

Waterpark > Halloween

I'd vote for October 13th or 20th for Fall Affair with Boo Buzz being any weekend in September except the Weekend of the 15th.

My family LOVES Halloweekends at Lake Rudolph, and we're looking forward to the new Halloween events at the park. I think doing Fall Affair during the Halloween event is a great idea. Also, Hi Dan. Welcome to Coasterbuzz!

ThemeDesigner, thank you for the welcome. I have followed CoasterBuzz for years. I was always the guy that fell for the "you are the lucky winner" pop up! Jeff, where is my prize btw? I am still waiting for Ed McMahon at my door today like every other day. Where is that party prize truck? It never shows up at my door. If the water park is included, I would make a serious attempt to go to the event this year.

I vote to have it with the water park. It gives me a reason to go to the park for Halloween. I would get three doses of HW in 2012.

We still haven't nailed this down, but we probably should. Here's the problem in the fall:

8/25: Big Christian rock festival
9/1: Labor day (assuming crowds, or non-attendance for family obligations)
9/8: Closed for private event
9/15: Closed for private event

If we go before that, we're in the meat of the season, and it's not really fall. If we go after, there is no water park. As much as that sucks, it seems like going later is better.

Halloween sounds good to me. It'd be nice to see it in it's inaugural season.

That would put us all the way into October though. Do you really want to wait that long?

It wouldn't bother me. But, I'm probably the wrong one to ask, as I also go to Dollywood the week before Thanksgiving every year.

Even with school in session the event would be Saturday only right? We'd still be in for it. I guess the only question mark would be the weather at that time of the year.

Well I would expect it to be warmer than up at CP, and we still do that every year, sometimes into November. I'll see if 10/6 works for Paula.

I know the world doesn't revolve around me. But, being Phunfest weekend, I wouldn't make that weekend. That's why i missed BooBuzz last year.
