Holiday World 2015

For what it's worth, there's still a building permit posted from the Hyena Falls construction that doesn't expire until 2017.

In other news HW's relatively new Zamperla Swing has been down for 2 weeks.

That's not true... I just rode Halloswings last Tuesday. Or do you mean Sparkler? That's been down for a while and probably will for a while longer.

I know HW was in the middle of the time zone confusion zone....but "relatively new" in no way describes HallowSwings to me... ;~P

Yes Sparkler. Hallowswings just turned 9 years old I think. Haha

The most trusted source - wikipedia! - says Hallowsings replaced Banshee in 2003.

I just tried to remember it off the top of my head. That's why I said I think. My school took trip in 4th grade to HW and that was the first time I remember seeing the Hallowswings.

Time traveling every day takes its toll... Has anyone seen a spare flux capacitor just sitting around? :-)

I am going to tell you all exactly what it is; Its a launched coaster with water elements that can be entered from both parks, and its name, obviously...KOMBORA!!!

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.

Woohoo?

With the reports of a mast being ready to break in 66 days at sea. Only one logical thing: Topple Tower.

Construction cam is up and it provides a live view. They've also added a cool multiple view live cam for the rest of the park that is user aimable.

Lots of interesting progress since we last saw the site

Vertigo?

I guess if you want to count it as one it technically did topple. I'm actually quite sure we will never see another topple tower. Especially since Huss had to sell off ride assets.

I mean Timber Tower looked cool when it operated the first time I went to Dollywood, but that thing had to be a complete mechanical nightmare, considering all the weight was focused at the top while rocking and spinning on the bottom.

I regret not wanting to wait in line Timber Tower when it was open. The two cycle wait was just too long for me. I wanted to go back to it later, but forgot. It looked interesting. Oh well.

I doubt that Holiday World will be getting a flat ride next year unless it is in addition to a coaster or water ride.

Topple tower at Dollywood spun just enough to make me nauseous but did nothing else.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I called it maXair On a Stick.

I have to be the only one on earth that thought Timber Tower was a good ride. Granted, it wasn't very forceful, but I thought the motion was interesting and unique. And the way Dollywood had it themed was cool- the little scenes and stunts placed around where the ride tipped low to the ground were cute.

I'm pretty sure I got the last full ride on it. We had hemmed and hawed about it then finally my friends backed out so I went alone, not about to miss it. As luck would have it, they called for a single rider and I jumped ahead one cycle. After the ride I wanted to watch it one more time but that next cycle stalled while it was up there leaving the riders hanging. We waited in line for Mystery Mine then got some drinks and Timber Tower was still stuck. We went to Thunderation and when we went by again it was still stuck. I understand it stayed that way for quite a while, too. Later on in the day we went by again and all was quiet, but the ride was closed.

It was then that news surfaced that the ride had been trouble, Dolly was unhappy, and it remained closed the rest of the season. After that year it was gone, so I'm glad for two things. One, that I got to ride it, and two, that (but for the grace of God) I wasn't stranded up there to miss most of my Dollywood day. Oh, and three, that I didn't have to endure the wrath of my wimpy friends, who REALLY woulda been none too happy.

You're trying too hard. You should relax.
