Hey PKI fans, let's talk about Tomb Raider

supermandl, I wouldn't be the least bit surpised if PKI is planning on using the Fuax Fire for TR:TR! It looks soooo real!!!

Seeing as how TR:TR is going to be the greates project PKI has ever done before, I wonder if they'll raise the price on their coke machines another qaurter?

supermandl: thanks for the link! I noticed something very similar to this at a recent trip to DisneyWorld, and I was wondering how the fire efects were done. I got a semi-close look at a goblet with "fire" coming out and thought it was a really innovative idea to use a steam/smoke machine and colored red and blue lights. Seems to be the exact same device (or extremely similar). I almost want to buy one, but it'll sit with the tons of other useless things I own and use a couple of times. :)

Back to the topic, TR:TR seems like it should be something close to Spiderman at IOA. This isn't a bad thing to me because it's thrilling yet safe with a good throughput of people. I'd argue it would allow more people to enjoy the ride than a coaster or top spin. Only a few more months before we'll know for sure.

On a side note, I just joined the Coasterbuzz club last weekend and saw that there is a planned group meet for the opening. I'm looking at taking time off from work to go, and hope to meet some of the Buzzers there.

Thanks PkI FaNaTiC, but I know all too well that sometimes it's very difficult to get the meaning of what you're trying to say with just words and maybe some smilies across the internet. It's hard for people to see exactly what you're(not you, just in general) trying to say, so I think if someone's curious about the meaning, they should just ask instead of jumping all over them.

Why don't we watch TR: TR latest construction pics at www.pkiguide.com, and wonder what will happen when we get into the ride, like how will we enter underground and how to get into those queue buildings and then how to get into the staging area and the ride building.

Anways, getting back on topic. Does anyone here know when pki plans to start revealing the construction again. I've signed up to get the e-mails THEY JUST NEVER COME! PKI says it will start in the new year and I guess I'll get them somtime.

Anyway, I really hope everyone hear's using there nogins trying to think of all TR:TR might be! I bought the move (Tomb Raider) a few days ago and if the ride is half as good as the movie, all I have to say is, PKI here I come!!!! I can't wait for TR:TR to open. I really would like to join the club but being younger than most coasterbuzzers, it would be kind of tough. I do hope everyone who is in the club has a GREAT time at pki and PLLEeeAASSE don't tell me all about it. I know it will be hard but I don't want to know a thing about what TR:TR is untill I ride this thing first hand! Hopfully I'll visit pki right after it opens so I won't have to keep guessing at what TR:tR will turn out to be! Oh Yes, besides the Faux Fire, does anyone else have an idea of what technifex might use for TR:TR?

I just wonder how many chambers there will be? They all sound cool. Maybe they'll be somewhat like the Indiana Jones queue. You know, closing walls, spikes...

There are 3 queue buildings including underground from the entrance so I am sure there will be many mysterious chambers.

I think i know what TR:TR will be. I am think Jurrasic Park the Ride Encloased LOnger and not on water. More Like Rhino Ralley Meets JP;Tr mates with Spiderman, and MIB. Thats just My idea. So in conclusion it would be A. Enclosed B. It will Spin You. C. itsd not a Top Spin. D. it will move around a certan amount of Track. E. You will some how get wet. ( Maybe a splash finale or begging?) And F. You will want to re-ride it. Dang i am good. Now if only i can get to PKI.

IntaminAG1@school I think it's great that your thinking outside the box!!!! A lot of people still have it in their minds that it will be a top spin or anything like one. Don't get me wrong, it could very well be a giant top spin or other new invention of a flat ride, but for all the people who still think the "SKETCH" of TR:TR is true, then I have defeated my whole purpose of what I'm trying to tell you. Look at that drawing, even though the dimensions might fit, it's a top spin, how is that gonna change the face of thrill ride history?!?! And it also doesn't look like they'll have much room for all those special effects by looking at that "SKETCH." All I'm trying to say is what Shaggy and Sean F. have been trying to say all along... T H I N K O U T S I D E T H E B O X!!
