So, men and women do have physiological differences that could lead to unfair advantages in sports. I won't argue with that. However, why is this the business of the government? Could someone let me know? Sure does seem like wasteful use of government resources to be stressing over sports teams. If the sports folks are so concerned about gender, then let the sports folks handle gender. Let the overarching leagues or whatever (I'm in no way a sports person) make rules and regulations that affect the different teams.

Ah yes, religion, controlling and oppressing people for thousands of years. What is it about religion that is so sticky? They do a really good job at exploiting people's fear of the unknown. But there must be more than just that.

I think it is absolutely the purview of government to protect the rights of the people. "You can't fire someone based on race" seems like exactly the kind of thing the government should be doing. Unfortunately, it seems like we have done mental gymnastics so the rights being protected are "You can't hold me accountable for my hypocrisy and bigotry."
