Has Cedar Point gotten a little too full of themselves?

^^^ The final nail in the coffin for TechTV was the renaming and retooling of The Screensavers. It had gotten worse since the departure of Leo LaPorte, but it is truly unwatchable as "Attack of the Show". And, yes, those ring tone ads suck.

On a side note, the ring tone ads acutally have been sued because it's hard to cancell the service, etc.

ANYWAY back on topic (good to know there are people out there who are like me). Thanks for the link Jeff, I have to say that the ad is very splashy, I like how they are trying to advertise it different than CP is, focusing on the family aspect of it and with the catch 2-for-1 song.....

"Two parks, two parks for the price of one!"

Amusingly, ringtone ads are literally the ONLY ADVERTISING on MTV Europe. I thought we were finally catching up with the continent!

Is it just me or is the originator of this thread just an angry idividual? I have found myself wondering if this person has ever been kicked out of the park or is one of those bitter people that cannot ride every attraction for some reason or another? Or do they simply just live so darn far away that they are upset that their only park is a SF park? Stop crying, just shut up and ride!
By the way...its just an ad campaign! I've never had a negative experience at the park with the attractions or the employees. And I have been going to the park for 20+ years.
liek, omg roffles the nerve of Six Flags for advertising "It's Playtime!" when all I do is stand in lines for an hour at a time. Like, omg, they don't lemme play or do anything fun in line. I can't even stand on the rails or get in a mosh pit with total strangers.

omg liek they should be finededed for false advermatising!

I hope those spelling mistakes were accidentally on purpose ;).

I write the best TRs ON THE PLANET*! Am I too full of myself?

*Disclaimer: With the exception of Sean Flaharty, who's almost as good ;).

yes, my spelling errors were on purpose. ;)

Grammar is actually one of my pet peeves.. but alas, my sense of humor > pet peeve.

HA!

We apoligise again for the fault in the subtitles. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked, have been sacked. :)

"NEAT!"

There's nothing like a woodie...
Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked, have been sacked, and the people that have sacked them have just been sacked, and the people for sacking them have just been sacked, and the people.......

This could be a long thread. :)

i'm not sure what to put here..

and those who got sacked for sacking, who sacked others have now been sacked, ;) Is this topic even alive?

Nice try, Sirloindude. This thread is buddhist...its been reincarnated and given a second life ;)

So...what's with Cedar Point and all these silly claims?

I don't know, to tell you the truth, they like to keep their 'best' titles because they don't want to admit that SFGAdv beat them with biggist and fastest coaster on the planet, and for once they don't hold the record.
Actually genius, if they wanted to deny that SFGAdv took their record, they would still market TTD as the tallest and fastest in the world. Calling it the best is actually admitting that their record has been beaten while still giving their ride a good marketing angle.

You've been served... in a smart ass manner none the less! Now please remove your offensive claim to being the resident smart ass, I think I among others can lay claim to that long before you can ...

actually, they like to keep their "best" titles because they have consistently been voted the best by the public year, after year, after year, after year..

They have done nothing to say that TTD is still the biggest and best. They have done nothing to say it is still the tallest and fastest. They have done nothing to deny GAdv of it's accomplishment. They have done what any respectable company that has been beaten by a rival company has done, they have sucked it up and moved on. Whatever they are planning to do, whenever they plan to do it, will be the right thing to do. I have full faith that CP/CF will make good moves in it's rides, and it's advertising policies, because they have done it nonstop thus far, and now they all the more reason to.

Well, I don't hate CP, nor will I ever, I love CP. I just think they shouldn't always market it like it is better. I know this park has always been fun to go to, they do a good job of what they are suppposed to do. I guess just hearing "best this, best that" just kinda gets boring, even though they are the best, :) !
^Why shouldn't they market themselves as better? From what I understand, they are better than most, if not all, Six Flags Parks. CP is even better than some of the parks within their own chain. They claim to be the best because to put it simply...they are. :)

I can't help but laugh at the ignorance at some of the "children" posting in this thread.

You kids don't seem to understand that it's advertising, and EVERY service/entertainment/food related chain in the world does it. You don't complain when McDonald's says they love to see you smile when most of the employees don't give 2 ****s about you. You don't complain when a store is called "BEST BUY" when they don't always have the best buys around.

It's just what companies do.

I'm pissed at Buger King because they advertise that they want me to have it my way, but they don't have healthy food so it must be a lie!
