Halfpipe coaster in finland.

Rockman, the large platform represents a Skateboard or snow board. Plays on the Half Pipe theme.

Vekoma's Hammerhead Stall had airplane cars.

Edit: Here is a pic of the Hammerhead Stall http://www.vekoma.com/Rides/HHS/hhs01.jpg

this looks like the kind of ride the Great Escape would get in the near future since of its size. i wouldnt mind riding it.

A twist on one of the ends would be cool...sort of representing some type of trick that a boarder would do

One major difference between this a the hammerhead stall. As I understand it the hammerhead stall was designed to operate much like a plane performing that maneuver. The car makes a 180 degree at the top of each spike so that you are always facing in the direction of travel. This ride instead seem to continuous rotate the seating so that you are at times facing forwards, backwards, and sideways.
Moral Dilemma Preparing for the 2003 Season: Put yourself up the position of the park general manager. You’re at the board meeting discussing the previous season and solutions to the park's ongoing problems. An overgrowing problem is that the North End of thee park is always deserted. The committee is stressing over ways of lead more people to this park section without the addition of a new major attraction. There are 5 proposals to lighten up the North End; your job is to decide which will the park best benefit from, if any.
1.Cyclone Rehab This has been the charm of the park for over15 years. Lately, you see it running like my Grandma's Pontiac on neutral. Why not try some landscape for a change. You’ve seen how our competition has fixed up their woodies recently. Seems like all we’ve done is encage it with new rides. Lets give it a new coat of paints; the blue rails would go nice with some red track. Also, I’ve heard many complain about bringing back the old Cyclone. The least we could do is bring back the covered turnaround on the rides diving helix. There is no reason why one of the park’s largest attractions should seem like a hidden gem. Our job should be to make the patrons notice, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll return to the North End. 2.Replace Sky Coaster with Absolutely Insane The teens have been storming the fences to get to Superman; the Dark Knight has had the same success. What the kids want is the extreme and frankly, I see nothing extreme in the where abouts of the North End. Here’s the solution, give the people what they want. Yes, we cannot add another major attraction, but we can turn a rusted old upcharge attraction with the extreme. Sky Coaster has when perched up on that hill since 1997. People have seen it, done it, and are tired of the high price for such a mild thrill. The average guest would say, “The climb up that hill took their breath away” before they’ve even considered opening their wallets. So what will we give them? No, not park benches to sit on and a high tech lemon chill stand. Will add the most extreme attraction on the market, the S&S Absolutely Insane. You’ve seen this rides soaked up the crowd at Magic Mountain and Cedar Point. Now the company has retrofitted the entire design. The profit it will bring in as well should be enough whip cream on top to sooth the Board Members. The cherry on top is that we will still are receiving a new ride, indirectly, but our defense is that we just updated an old attraction. 3.Looney Toons’ Overhaul Let’s take a trip back to 2000, shall we? After are most successful year, we found many complaints that the park was scattered and unsuitable for a day with the entire family. What we thought was enough, Looney Toons Movie Town, was depressing. Are solution in 2001 was adding Tiny Timber Town, but why? Now we have two incomplete kiddie sections and tons of unsatisfied customers. What needs to be done is an overhaul on Toon Town. Something more something for the family will draw a significant amount of the undersized peeps away from the DC Superhero section. Who knows, there could be a few new flats involved in this. 4.Replace Astro Bungee with Robo-Coasters

I’ll make my argument brief, the food courts are loaded, and with what? Happy customers? No! What we see are bored customers sitting around watching that rusty old Time Warp lobbing over the midway and Astro Bungee. A set of pathetic trampolines is not impressive to the public, and at $8 dollar for bounce, this ride is an advertised scam. After our observations at IAAPA 2003, the fellow staff members and myself have all taken Robo Coaster into great consideration. What pleasure this ride brings is amazing. Once we get this ride together it will be the perfect midway attraction. The people? You bet they’ll notice!

The Hammerhead Stall was going to a hotel in Orlando originally, I believe.

You have got it round the wrong way. Fantasy Island are getting the Hammerhead Stall, there were originally suppose to get it last year but there were problems with the ride and it is now set to open in 2003 and the Intamin is going to the park in Germany this is definate.
The Intamin is going to finland,,, if you don't mean that they're building 2 Half-Pipes next year...

Intamin for Finland (which I'll go on)

Vekoma for England (which I might go on)

I cant get the video on my computer, dose anyone have a picture of the coaster?

If they build 2 half-pipes would that equal a full-pipe?

I have seen one of these coasters in Roller Coaster Tycoon. I believe its the mini coaster with the spinning cars.

"The opposite of war isn't peace, its creation," Rent.

The track has arrived Särkänniemi. There's one thing that i haven't seen before on the vid, it's a different track. Yes it's the typical triangular intamin track but the side wheels will run inside instead of outside the track.

Tracks at Särkänniemi: http://www.huvipuisto.net/huvipuis/halfpipefi.htm

One of these would be a welcomed sight at SFAW...they can't just leave us hanging after taking out TT!

Just an update: The track is now up. There's instalation of the LIMs and some work one the station left to do. Not sure if the trains have arrived yet.

As usual Intamin uses minimal amount of supports... http://www.bellingham.fi/huvipuis/halfpipefi.htm

That's crazy how the track is set up. Are there any other Intamins that have track even near that style?

I talked with the Dippin' Dots guy and he assured me that Cedar Point was to get that 10-inversion terra-woodie-invert-stand-up because Magnum is sinking. The current construction is for the new super-Dippin' Dots stall he is to run.

Woah! That took what? Less than a month?

Rockman: Linear Gale - an impulse with no twists and no holding brakes.

That's not a roller coaster... That's retarded.

Rockman, Linear Gale has different track. Impulses (and almost all other Intamin coasters) have wheels running on the outside of the track. It appears that this demented coaster runs on the inside of the track. Thats why it has the flat looking rails on top of the round rails.
BrandonR, why are you insulting the retarded?
