Hades @ Big Chiefs

Dude, I don't mean to belabor the point but its a freakin LOOP. Wood, steel, rubber, or straw...doesn't matter what its made of, it GOES UPSIDE DOWN.

mOOSH

PS - again, steel support structure, wood track. How many people have to tell you to convince you?

Now there's an idea.. coaster w/ rubber track.. can you imagine an overbank that stretches? Talk about a unique experience every ride!

Straw on the other hand.. I don't see it being strong enough ;)

Who cares if it stretches? It's what happens when it snaps back that scares me :)

Keep your panties on there bud...I already said I would trust you.

Am I supposed to be wearing panties? Oops! ;)
Wouldn't want your ankles getting cold Mooshie ;)

Oh my.

Well, at least leg warmers are coming back.

Be nice, Tekno...remember you're coming to visit me in Los Angeles in March ;)
And I plan on wearing my official "Moosh: The Ride" Shirt to Solace, no less.

Ya'll think I'm kidding...

Actually, could you imagine a launch coaster that, instead of going straight up to slow/reverse the train, it would go into a stretchable cable, which would slow the train, and then snap it back the direction it came.

Doesn't seem safe enough, but that would be a unique experience not available on current coasters (unless there's some technology out there I haven't heard of yet :) )

Not a stretchable cable but, the old Arrow shuttle loops launched you both ways.

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground, silly monkeys give them thumbs they forge a blade and weapons by the pound to divide it, right in two - Tool
As do the new Intamin impulse coasters; however an extra spring in the change of direction as opposed to a stop or a fall then launch would be cool. I heard the Mummy coaster launches backwards...is that from a stand still?
Doesn't that one also launch you off of a turntable-type thing?

"Life's What You Make It, So Let's Make It Rock!"
Yes it does, its a sweet effect.
Well, I was supposed to go take pics of Hades tomorrow...but they are predicting 6-9 inches and from the looks of things on my way home, the weather dude must have meant first 6 inches and then 9 on top of that. The roads are horrible right now, but this is MN and they got their stuff together on snow removal. I'll see how things are tomorrow before I make my final decision as I would love to get shots of Hades frozen over.

Yes, you come to the stop against a screen and it launches you backwards, albeit not too fast, but you then go backwards into the turntable mentioned above. However, the train leaves the turntable before lanching.

I wouldn't call it a launch at all. In fact, judging by the screech when you stop, I'd even guess that it's actually kicker tires that push you backward to the hill.

The USH version isn't much of a launch either...more like a nudge.
yeah, it is definetely not a launch, more like the brakes are released, and the tires give a little nudge until you hit the 5 foot hill. cool effect i guess but definetely not what i thought when they said it rides both forwards and backwards

but we'll now go back to hades :)

I know it's nothing like the other two, and yes, you are probably correct, but its still a bit of a launch in my mind.
