Do you realize how rediculous that sounds?
Moving the waterpark to the other side is one of the best ideas I have ever heard. That frees up a lot of room at the rides side for God knows what. Maybe they would put the old Pepsi log ride there. While they are at it, they could give Pepsi Plunge a facelift; it's a really pitiful looking ride.
To me, That's what it sounds like is going to happen.
Are you a betting man?

c'mon guys, the water park is not moving... there is no time to build an entire waterpark in only months. if so, we would have seen many buildings coming down, and dirt being dug.

If a park can get a coaster the size of Millennium Force or Nitro (just using big, spread out coasters as examples) installed in an offseason, they can get a pretty massive waterpark installed in the same amount of time or less.
In Ohio...it seems to rarely happen lately ;)
BUT, There is a lot of sun around the Happy Harbor area, and there truly isn't a lot of sun around the rest of the fomer Wild Life park. The only place you can really get a sun burn, is if you sit in the uncovered part of one of the stadiums, since the seats are on the hill.
IF they did move the water park it seems that it would turn much into something along the lines of the Beach, or Schileterbaun (I never can remember how to spell that.) Both parks are built on some good terrain, and have trees everywhere.
Granted you can cut down trees, but it just seems to odd to build a waterpark this far up North in the shade. I do see easier replacement of the park around Happy Harbor with the Wave pool going in around the Dolphin Cove area.
The next question is, would moving the waterpark really clear up THAT much room?
I'd personally rather have the old Sea World part expanded into the dry part of the park than a waterpark. That side just looks so much better. Seems to be a shame to ripp a lot of things out over there if they decided to move the waterpark.

That allows for more time for construction too.
The extra space could be used as green-space. It doesn't necessarily have to be used for a ride, restaurant or anything like that. But having it on the other side makes perfect sense since it gives people the 2nd entrance to use in case they wanted to just goto the waterpark & nothing else...
...as well as use the space to group it together so it feels like a waterpark as a whole, and not having to walk under Big Dipper, past Shipwreck falls just to get to some more slides. That seems retarded to have to walk that distance to get from one part to the other.
Not to mention they could really get this looking nice if they use the space wisely, and use the surrounding landscaping accurately, and not destroy everything in its path, leveling it & starting from scratch.
I guess time will tell.

Newsletter says announcent we've been waiting for"...and it then states it's about "Property."
On another note, when I was there this weekend. I was looking around the Happy Harbor area and noticed all the Lake Front Property that has been closed down around Happy Harbor Arcade (closed all year), Water-balloon Wars (closed all year also), Water/jungle-gym/play area (closed all year), Bayou-walkthrough (closed, and fooded all year). All those things exist in the open section of the park this year. If they take those things out, that would clear up quite a bit of land on and a little off the lake.
Nov. 10th is going to be interesting.
