First off, you're the only person that really seems up in arms here. People have stated their opinion, and why they're of that opinion. The only person that doesn't seem to be having a 'nice conversation' here isn't the rest of us.

And as far as resorting to childish antics, to be honest, what Travis said about you being the owner has crossed my mind. That he gave an example, and you mistook him for throwing out a gay slur, when he himself is gay, was more comical than childish. It's okay that you didn't know he was gay, that's what makes it funny. We weren't making fun of you (at least I wasn't), we were laughing because of the situation.

As far as perspective, that's fine. But we've offered ours, and you refuse to listen. Okay, so the guy was trying to save a classic coaster. That's all well and good, but the facts that we have access too make most of us believe it was a poor decision on the owner's part.

That he or she is anonomous about the whole thing, and you, nor anyone else, is willing or able to give any other facts that we can make a better informed decision on, adds to the fact that no one here thinks that magical fairies are going to come and swoop Big Dipper away and plop it down and make people come ride it. It doesn't work that way, and without more information, everyone here is making comments based on what we know. If you know more, fine, but either give more actual details, or accept the fact that we've got our opinions based on what we know of the situation.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I'm not up in arms at all. I am sorry if I over reacted the situation. All I am trying to do is inform people that there is another side to the bashing of the gentleman who purchased dipper. the owner of the coaster owns his decision to buy the ride. Now he is trying to make the best of the situation. Nobody has to agree with me. I don't mind a good debate here and there. I have made mistakes before and I have learned from them.

It wasn't that long ago that Jeff absolutely hated me. Now he just dislikes me!!lol

Giving actual information is good, but you aren't doing that. You are giving what could be assumed to be real information, but you have not given any credible facts. Anyone could say that they know the situation personally and know the owner personally, but without fact to back those claims up they are just words in the wind.

The fact is that if you read the article on the top of this posting, there are a couple names mentioned. Just so you know, I live in medina and you might want to read my screen name backwards.

Why don't you just be more transparent and not make it a puzzle for people to put together? The lack of transparency is what would make me very leery about dealing with you, if I was a buyer.

With that bit of info, my next logical question is, what are your credentials? Why are you representing this person, and what kind of experience do you have in being a ride broker?

Who needs experience? Didn't you hear? The guy has a plan.

My name is Jeff Shimko. My name has been out there as a contact for the ride for a while now. Are you a buyer? Any interested buyer has had my contact info for months. So am I to understand that everyone on here is transparent? I was not trying to sell the ride on this site. You may ask Jeff if I had ever asked him if I could offer it here for sale. My only intentions on here was to clear up some misconceptions. that is all, nothing more. I personally am not getting anything from this, I am just trying to do what I can to help this ride out. am not a bad guy, shady guy, or a person trying to get away with anything.

How many other people here are trying to sell something at a 1,200% markup?

I am just a guy that wanted to help out the situation rather than talk and bash what I didn't know. I actually took action and offered help. Nothing bad about that at all.

Seriously, guys. Why do you all care about this so much?

I'm bored... :)

I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL ANYTHING HERE!!

I am out of the situation right now. I don't have anything to do with the ebay auction. All I was doing was trying to get people to look at the situation differently. You ask for facts from me, where are the facts about what the owner has done to this point. I have heard many theories that are plain wrong, and people accept them because they are negative ones. Here I am saying something positive.

Funny, you asked the question, I answered and you didn't like the answer so you are bored?

That was a joke response to Carrie about why I care SO much.

Dude, Andy was answering my question. And I don't know why you're yelling. I was trying to help you out a little.

Again:

As far as this post:

Honestly, I don't care, but when someone make a comment and another person comes in and jumps up and down asking me to care, I'll usually oblige with replying about why I don't care and ask why I should care.

In this thread, everyone came in and said they didn't see the big deal and they didn't understand why this person tried, and the only person that seems to know the man or woman who owns the coaster comes in and 'just wants everyone to see it from another perspective'. I'm all for that, but We still don't have much perspective because we don't have that much info.

Mr. Shimko,

Please take a deep breath and calm down. We are here to have fun. As Will Koch used to say, "We are in the theme park business. If we an't have fun, who can?" And we are not even in the business, we are just here to discuss and entertain ourselves. So, please relax a bit. Maybe get a massage or something.

Sincerely,

Andy
