Why didn't he just start an online petition? Those are infallible.

Don't make me bring it up, Vater.

Well, we could talk about why it's possible I will find you in the ladies' room at Knoebels.

Wrong thread, Ms. Un-American ;).

Also as far as not coming public with the buyer, In the auction world it is very common for bids to be placed annonymously by a middleman.Especially with a big public auction.

Well, normally when someone's post jumps ahead of mine I would say they "spanked" me, but I figured we don't know each other well enough for such a word choice. :)

He did understand the risks, however there was limited time to finalize any plans.

Then clearly he didn't know the risks.

No, Jeff, he CLEARLY didn't have time to understand the risks! Which is why it's always best to go out and spend money first, then finalize any plans you may have second.

He did realize the risks. He owns it. He is doing all he can to save it. there is no reason to call him names and tell him that " he should have done this or that". If I really have to give examples of risks that have paid off, I will. If I have to give risks that haven't paid off I can as well. I have a hard time with people say that he should have done this or that. if people wanted it done a certain way, they should have bought it and done it. I give the man credit for going out on a limb to save this ride. Things don't always go as planned. How many people on here have lost more than 5K, 20k on the stock market? It does not mean they are bad people, just didn't get out in time.It is just the situation. Btw, I still think that if someone had the ability to purchase the ride and some land, it could be a feesible money maker.

This "big public auction" has zero bids!

Good call. I don't talk "spank" with just anyone. ;)

I still maintain that what the guy primarily bought was some time, which is also what ffej seems to be saying. And also what I said on the last page. I'm not sure why that's a problem, or why people care so much about someone else losing money on it. This isn't the Conneaut Blue Streak, where we can bark about them pleading for money every year, or winning free Pepsi money over whatever humanitarian cause comes in 11th place.

Awesome, isn't it?

I was talking about the geauga lake auction at the park. That was a large public auction.

So why is it that everyone seems to know him, but won't out him?

Ok, I guess I misspoke a bit. I was contacted by Apex. Who is the company supposedly acting as the third party for the actual unknown owner. If the owner isn't actually Apex, I do not know who it is.

Hasn't anyone figured out that ffej is the owner of the ride yet? It's like a closeted gay guy talking about his "friend".

+1 for witty post. And double funny because I've known dudes like that.

Again, I am not the owner. Really, a gay slur? Nope, not gay either. Just a person who knows the situation and is not afraid to stand up for something that is right.

I don't think that was intended as a slur. Or at least the 'gay' part wasn't. ;)

Besides, if he's gay and he uses it, is that considered a slur? I thought you got a pass for that.

LOL, he thinks LK made a gay slur...

Ok, So we can't have a nice conversation here. You are lacking of valid points to make so you result to childish antics. I have no idea if anyone is gay on here, I could care less what someone does in one's life. All I wanted to do was bring a new prospective to the situation. it is fine if you disagree that is fine.
