Knoebels has updated their webpage with some REALLY nice pics of the coaster under construction. You can really get an idea of what sort of a little monster Knoebels is creating with how highly banked that turn is... I mean, granted, on a bobsled coaster you want to make the track a little more banked than needed, but I'd still imaging that the train will be riding pretty high on that curve.
If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.
this whole project is so fascinating. I don't suppose I've ever been so intrigued by a coaster installation. Groundbreaking in it's retro-ness... or something.
Can't wait. Glad my wife love Knoebels and looks forward to taking our kids there someday.
Thanks in advance,
You know the drill.
Most of the maintenance staff have been preparing for opening, but there are at least a handful of people making the "ribs" for the Turns everyday. (I guess so when you need 1200 of them.) The last set of supports they poured need some time to settle, then I would expect to see more bents go up.
Btw, the XD theatre is pretty cool. 10 seats in all and there will be 3 movies that play during different times of the day. Each movie lasts about 4 and a half minutes. Also, Frog game is now near Power Surge, while the new Dog Pounder game is located next to the Galleon on the Flying Tigers side.
Ok, thats enough. :-)

BTW, I don't know if it's old news and I've just been zipping past it-- but since I haven't seen anyone else mention it-- on Knoebels update page, there is now a plan view of the track layout. Looks verrrrry interesting (he says in his best Arte Johnson imitation).

the XD Theatre is in the Roaring Creek Saloon, not sure how that will work out tho, if the arcade is still there or it will have its own entrance or something. Also i wish you could zoom in on the layout to read the numbers...

This site has a Podcast?
Well yes Knoebel's has a Podcast...sorta. Not in the true Itunes/Odeo fashion but it is downloadable from their website.
