Fly with Superman at SFGADV in 2003!!

Oh im sorry about that guys. Now i understand.

BATWING FAN SFA said:
the main reason they took 02 off was to pay for the coasters they recently installed.

And that is the same reason they will take 2003 off also.

I, am nobody, and nobody is pefect!

Trust me,SFA isn't taking 03 off.

They'd be very foolish to take off especially when A-they've got competition from PKD & BGW in 03.

B-SF has already said that parks that preformed well in 02 will be recieving expenditure spending for 03 (ie new rides/attractions).

C- alot of "inside sources from within the park" have said that the park is in need of a new coaster soon but didn't add it in 02 because of the payments on the other coasters recently installed as well as the new trains for JJ.

Trust me SF isn't gonna spend $125 million on just those four parks and leave the others including SFA high and dry in 03,they'll lose even more money that way,I think they figured that out when they neglected to add a ride at SFGRADV this year,at least that's what they blamed SFGRADV's poor attendance performance on.

Your forgetting the SF properties also have 2 parks getting coasters and 4 normal SF parks that will be getting attractions. I would love a new SFA coaster to but the only reason I make a big deal about it is that ( not to be a jerk but ) thats all you talk about in every post. I though SFGADv would get a new coaster but I didn't say it every other post in other topics. If your not happy with SFA's expansion over the past couple years then you have problems. If you want a new coaster drive to SFGAdv its not that far. I know they compete w/ PKD but when SFA added 5 coasters in a short span they didn't add one every year either they got 2 major ones in that time. I could be wrong but I'm 90 percent sure they will take 2003 off.

As I've said before, SFGAdv and SFA are very different parks when it comes to bringing in money. Yes, SFGAdv was addressed in the conference call and will get a coaster because last year they got nothing and it hurt attendance. SFA is a different story. Attendance going down at SFA is not going to hurt the chain because it's such a minimal amount to corporate! SFGAdv is one of the biggest money makers (the top four parks account for 1/3 of revenue of the entire chain!).

To put it simply, if attendance goes down at one of the big four, it severely hurts the chain (as it did this year).
If attendance goes down at a small park like SFA, *it does not matter*!

Don't get me wrong, SFA will probably get something next year. But you will *not* get a brand new, state-of-the-art, mulit-million dollar B&M or Intamin coaster. It just isn't going to happen. Maybe you'll get some flats or a POS from Old Indiana. ;-)

-Nate (who reminds you that most employees in the park know *nothing*)

I feel the exact same way coasterdude.
WOW....cant wait till next year.
Thats pretty cool that six flags is gettin a flyer but why the name superman! Use another name for gods sake, find another cartoon superhero character.
I doubt the sign was fake. When I went to SFNE in 2001 there was letters on the movie board thingie near Scream and Wave Swinger it said New steel coaster in 2002, mind you it was before the anouncment. and I asked a Security Gaurd watching over the future site Of Batman and he said thet That they were gonna call it Medusa. Thats what he said. Why would SF change their minds

We weon't be getting anything from Old Indiana, there's nothing left there of the old coasters but bits & pieces of old rusted track that's in no condition to operate and will most likely be sold for scrap if it hasn't been already.

Anyhow the sign at SFGRADV is real & not a fake at all.

It seems to me that there are many nay-sayers here about SFA. SFA is not slowing down, they are just gaining speed. Their new ride for 2002 wasn't a ride at all it was bought land brining it to what I believe is either 400 or 500 acres.

A new coaster is on its way and there is plenty of proof. Which Batwing Fan has said and there is no need to repeat the facts. AND if we didn't get a new coaster there will be less people going to SFA in 2003, including possibly myself.

And a 9% increase deserves a new coaster. I'm not saying that it has to be huge it just has to be good. I know people that say they don't want to go because they don't have enough good rides and they really need this.

And another thing why is it that SFMM is getting somthing new? they really don't need it. 4 coasters in 3 years, and people complain about SFA getting 5 coasters in 4 years, plus it wasn't really 5 cause they took out 2, so its really only 3. So No we are not spoiled here. I will be happy when our new B&M (I hope) Coaster arrives.

HXLC - What facts are you and BFSFA talking about? Until there is an official announcement from SFA, there simply are no facts.

And are you seriously not going to go to SFA next year if they don't get a new coaster? That is so ridiculous.

"Sorry, but that world class hyper, those two excellent woodies, that flyer, and that Premier launched coaster just aren't good enough for me unless there is something new."

Do you realize how silly that sounds?

HSXLC, you can NOT say that SFA "deserves" a coaster because of their attendance in one sentance and then ask why SFMM gets a coaster in another sentence. Remember, SFMM had a 6% increase as well. And 6% of SFMM's attendance is worth a helluva lot more (to stockholders) than a 9% increase @ SFA.

That being said, I *do* believe a multi-million dollar attraction is on the way to SFA. I dont know if it will be a major coaster, but it will be something that people will come out to ride!

I'd go to SFA *as is*, and I'm not even particualrly fond of the flyer. Roar, Wild One, S;RoS, and a launched spaghetti bowl, sans OTSR's. Sorry we didn't get there this year. Flying coasters MAY be popular, but I'm just grateful they keep bringing in rides.....cuts down on the lines for the ones I *really* like.....;). SFGAdv may not have squat for wood, but there's ALREADY plenty of steel to bring me back...(BBTT for one)....
Yep, Six Flags Great Adventure is definitely getting a B&M flyer next year. It is going to be an exact clone of Superman Ultimate Flight, and it will keep the same theming. The entrance to the coaster will be to the left of the entrance to GASM and the flyer will be built in the parking lot right in front of it. Theming is going to be incredible. There will be a huge Superman sign on the ground much like the Batman sign on Batman The Dark Knight. The station is going to be built like a huge office building, which you will walk through. Before boarding the trains, you will walk through a telephone booth to get on the ride. This is going to be amazing. I heard all this from my friend who works at great adventure.
I hope that your right because I'm a sucker for theming. I believe you to by the way because it doesn't sound like you are making that up and if you are you should sell that idea to SFGADv.

Why does it seem that SFA fanboys are the most annoying? If my memory serves me correctly, I think BFSFA was saying the same stuff at this point last year. Seriously, it seems like any topic I read you're blabbing about what SFA is getting next year.

Anywho, the sign at GAdv was kind of cool. Six Flags usually doesn't hype stuff up too much before the announcement, so it was kind of neat to see that sign there this weekend.

Well last year I got some incorrect information & was following the rumors a bit too closely and didn't have as much experience and was relying mostly on info & word of mouth online regarding possible attractions for the parks (mostly SFA of course) but this year have been relying just a bit less on this method of information.

I've gained just a bit more experience within the past year and still doubt the rumors myself until something happens, however there are quite a few signs & hints that something will be happening for our park in 03,don't be too surprised when I or someone else posts official information when it becomes available.

Well until then do us a favor and hush!
LOL! Just what information are you relying on now? Rumors you've seen online and heard from employees. You're certainly not listening to what Six Flags itself has said about which parks are getting major attractions this year and which aren't.
