Get ready to Fly with Superman at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2003!!!! Rumor has it that its going to be a clone of S:UF only 7ft taller. SixFlagsNews.com has posted a picture of the new sign that announces it. Also Six Flags Great Adventure will make an official announcement on October 23!!!You can find the picture here...

I saw the pic at sixflagsnews.com yesterday so it looks like a B&M flyer is a go for SFGRADV.
This appears to be a first for SF to actually post an announcement of sorts for a new ride on park grounds, usually SF waits till an announcement is made via the local media or the SF homepage for the given park.
Maybe they are just trying to reassure park guests that a new ride is coming in 03 in an effort to boost season pass sales before the end of the season,I wonder if we'll see this same advertising at SFA this season? because after all SFA is definately getting something in 03.
Maybe it's just me, but that pic looks fake as hell. I believe a flyer is coming like everyone else, but that picture looks strange, especially given the location. Why would so many people be standing so close behind the sign? Seems odd that they would place it such that it obscured the "Tram Stop" sign. Looks like a hoax to me!

Jazzland has already been announced. They are getting a Batman The Ride clone. The only thing we don't know is the name.
Also sorry but SFA was NOT in the line up for new coasters this year. Batwing Fan SFA you will just have to wait another year. You guys got so much in the past couple years anyway its not funny. Just give it a rest if you get a coaster great I'll be going there if not so be it.
I would look for SFOT to get some sort of drop tower(s) and a few smaller additions like I've heard from Screamscape and several others Texas coaster sites.
Also, I never saw anything that said other parks besides those four wouldn't be getting something new...

eee-yip
I wouldn't be so sure about that Medusafanatic, there are quite a few indications of a new ride, probably a coaster coming to SFA in 03,first off we've got quite a few hints from park staff as well as a few changes for this year's frightfest.
Just last week I posted what I heard about a flatbed tractor trailer having been spotted entering the SFA parking lot,(of course my topic was closed rather quickly )and according to SFA's homepage the haunted hayride is being changed for this year, instead of the usual trail of terror haunted haywagon the park is doing a halloween lights hayride. This is totally out of character for SFA to do which might mean the hayride will be in a different section of the park instead of in the woods behind Batwing because that's where the new coaster is rumored and most likely to go.
Of course we got the shaft in 02 but I don't think SF will do that to us in 03,especially with PKD getting a new ride again and after not adding a ride to SFGRADV which SF claims hurt their attendance levels now I doubt that they want that to happen at SFA.
