Tambo's "dead horse" one liners are the least interesting posts in this thread, imho. No offence is intended to Mr. Tambo.
If you meant no offence, why even mention it then?

Justice League is a very popular TV program with kids and adults (I'd watch it way more often if I had cable). Although The Flash is not the most popular hero on the show, his character still communicates very well what Flash Pass is trying to sell, imho.
I agree. Having the DC license, theming SOMETHING to The Flash was long overdue. I still think it'd be a great theme for a hyper, but at least this is a start.
(And The Flash happens to be one of my favorite JL'ers anyway. There was an episode of the animated Justice League Unlimited not too long ago that showed just how devistatingly powerful The Flash could be given creative enough uses of his power. Let's just say that the Brainiac-possessed Lex Luthor, who'd already taken down the rest of the league, never stood a chance...)

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."
Its no great surprise that only the Q-Botters are in favor of Fleshdance. The majority of people who choose not to pay again in order to move from half-assed park access to totally-unfair to everyone else park access don't pay because of financial or ethical reasons. No amount of alternate reality explanations is going to make people feel better about hanging out in stalled out lines so the more fortunates can have a better day at the park.
I truly doubt Six Flags has ever put as much thought into this issue as we have in this discussion. This company simply looks at the profit Q-Bots are making, without factoring in the business lost, since there is no real way of counting those numbers. That's unfortunate.
We can disagree on what is smart for Six Flags, the ethics involved, the difference between all access and pay, but we cannot deny that pay-to-cut ticks off a lot of hard core coaster fans. *** Edited 3/27/2006 9:14:27 PM UTC by rc-madness***
"Hard core" fans make up a tiny portion of the overall "enthusiast" population, and the "enthusiast" population makes up such a tiny amount of park visitors, that it really doesn't matter to their bottom line whether or not they are happy.
It may seem "unfair" to you, but being "fair" is for 5-year-olds. Get used to it, pal, life isn't fair (OMG, CONCEPT?).
Before you go calling me a "Q-botter" or whatever... I have never purchased or used a Q-bot, flash pass, FastLane or whatever, I've never seen a reason to, but if a place got really packed, I would probably do it.
Let's take a page out of history here. I may not 100% agree with what they're doing, but I will defend to the death, their right to do it.

Is it true the company does not give a rat's ass about coaster fans? Shouldn't they give a rat's ass? If Six Flags can't even please the hard core fans with their Q-Botter FleshyDance, why shouldn't they be concerned about the larger group of guests they hope to draw in?
And Raven, my mistake for assuming you have already Q-Botted. And all due credit to your courage, but I would suggest not putting your life on the line for everything Six Flags believes in. *** Edited 3/27/2006 10:17:12 PM UTC by rc-madness***
That's a decision that's up to the individual parks. Some do and some don't. That's why it's silly to lump them all together as though they make all their decisions collectively.
I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, but your attitude about the "hard core fans" and the use of phrases such as "Q-Botter FleshyDance" are voiding any sort of credibility I might have given you at any point on these forums.
Not to mention, I don't think I would take too much pride in being so much of a "hard core fan", as someone who enjoys roller coasters more than your average visitor.
Not to spew an old corporate cliche on you, but at the end of the day, you're just another number through the gates.
They really don't care how many different variations of Superman coasters you have ridden, where your coaster t-shirt is from, or how much of a 'hard core' fan you are. All they see is this$$$$$.
Sorry to burst your bubble, man.

It IS all about money, amusement parks have to make money to buy food to sell at the stands, to pay the employees to run the rides, to buy new rides, pay mechanics to keep the rides in working order, money to pay someone to keep the grass and plants neat, etc.. Without money, there wouldn't be roller coasters for you to obsess about.
I fail to see what is so hard to comprehend about this. It's not all fun and games.

SIX FLAGS THEMSELVES CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU THAT THE QBOT SYSTEM ISN'T LINE JUMPING!
Here, let's all step into the wayback machine for a second shall we;
Remeber this quote from Six Flags own website;
Isn't using Flash Pass like line skipping?
No, not exactly.
When you can't get a definite answer to a question, then there is definitely doubt about it.
Next thing you know, Six Flags will hire Drew Roesnhaus to help them better handle this question.
Isn't using Flash Pass like line skipping?
Next question.
It's really simple.

At the end of the day, when every possible angle has been looked at, it still will always come down to one thing...
...that Flash Pass isn't going anywhere and people will continue to use it for a long time to come. ;)
Looks like we both lose. :)
Whether you like it or not, the system isn't going anywhere. There's no spin there whatsoever.
