Eleven Things for a Better SFGAm

Shockwave is a waste of space. They could have a nice 3d coaster in its place. I wish all those rumors around the park that they were going to tear it down were true.

Shockwave + OTSR's = Headbanging

Shockwave + Lapbars = Possibly a great ride that will resurge its once upon a time popularity.

But they already have 10 other 3d coasters. Now a 4d, that would be nice. I agree with Chitown, take out the damn OTSR's, and put in some nice lapbars. PR's trains are great. They should make the same change to ours.

While the lapbars on Phantoms Revenge are nice enough, I dont not feel they are sufficient for a looper. Sure loopers *can* have properly designed lapbars, but the ones on PR do *NOT* fit that requirement.

Anyway, I still dont see the big problem with the ride. I guess it's just me.

PR's restraints are pretty generic if you ask me...

they look like floppy wet noodles, and they barely even do anything, plus their cars have TOO much room in them... you could smuggle a midget down by your feet and still have too much room to bang your legs around in...

SP shouldn't have been changed...

Shockwave is great, i loved it, nothing like going upside down 7 times in one coaster... especially with NO LINE! i waited most 10 minutes to get on it...i also loved Demon, some of the better Arrow Loopers I've been on....

Cedar Point:Shockwave is a great ride, i havent even noticed headbanging latley. With the exeption of PR (which is not an arrow, its a reprofiled morgan-the loops) how many arrow coasters do you see that have loops 'n lapbars? I like it just the way it is. And 2Hostyl, it's not just you, i love the ride, and hope it stays for a long time.:)

It's not that I don't like the ride, I love it, it just hurts and it could be greatly improved. Nobody goes on the ride. The park will take it out soon if it stays the same. Lapbars would give it a line and it would me more fun.

Everytime I ride shockwave I get a headache. I think the ride is outdated and should be replaced with a 4-d coaster. (I would like the ride better if they went with lapbars.)

Shockwave does get huge lines every morning that line is packed. Its usually one of the first rides people go on and the line is usually out to the paths, I see no reason for them to tear it down, but they do have plenty of room to build a 4d right by Shockwave. If they had a really popular ride by Shockwave, Shockwaves popularity would increase alot along with the line.

Just so Jeremy and the rest of you dont take me the wrong way, I still like Shockwave and am tall enough where my head is above the OTSR so I dont experience the headbanging like others do. I could power ride this coaster all day long and not need the Advil or Tylenol. However based on the consensus of alot of people, I feel lap bars would be a bonus to give this coaster the once popularity it used to have. But as far as my personal preference, they can leave it as it is.

Yes, and now Magnum XL-200 is outdated. Lets get rid of it, you have Millennium Force now. Also, Corkscrew is outdated. Lets get rid of that in favor of a 4D. Blue Streak is outdated, lets remove the brakes from Mean Streak and tear down Blue Streak. Also, Demon Drop is outdated, there is a group of 4 other freefall rides already.
My point being, outdated does not mean bad. Look at Cedar Point, I doubt anyone would like what I said should (but really shouldn't) happen to happen. Just because a ride may be outdated by today's standards, it doesn't mean it should be torn down. Respect the elders of the coaster world, just as you should respect your own elders.

Great point TrBiggar! Look at all of Anton's coasters, by all standards, they are outdated. That still doesn't stop people from having fun. And woodies would be outdated too, because they can't have all the same elements as steel coasters, but look at the huge population that loves 'em.

Replacing Corkscrew for a 4D may not be all that bad of an idea.. but thats just my op.

Nick, by no means am i saying that a 4-D coaster wouldnt be nice, in fact, it would be very nice, but you could probably find room for it without replacing any current rides. Corckscrew may not apply to some people, but you'd be surprised how much little kids, and even enthusiasts like it.

What's wrong with the food at SFGam? SWT fiesta fries are some of the best and the buffet is incredible. The only food I find unsatisfactory is the pizza. Other than that, I don't find any difference between SFGam's food and any other park. To tell you the truth, I've yet to find a park that has food that's worth the amount they charge.

Goonsta, you don't like the pizza? That's my favorite thing to get there besides funnel cakes, :)

Yeah I think the Pizzas great. I always eat at Luigis Pizzia by the eagle if I don't pack a lunch. Thats some good Pizza!
