If I could pick my top 10 woodies, they'd jsut about all be from the last 10 years. Before 1998 or so, most of my faves were oldies but goodies. They're all still great rides, but many of the new ones are even better.

I think we should keep woodie building to GCI and the Gravity Group...

What is the point of pre-fab if it saves no time!
Go do some research concerning exactly what Intamin's system is and you'll answer your own question. Because it's pretty easy to tell you're not exactly informed (or maybe misinformed) on the topic.
(or, for what I really wanted to say, just check out the post that was made just above this one, lol) *** Edited 3/29/2006 3:33:54 AM UTC by matt.***
If I ran an amusement park, my very first priority would be to get the rides open by opening day. "You-know-who" always has their new rides open by opening day.
NEW! for 2006 and 1/2...El Lateo. lol.
It's certainly not as cool as Talon...I mean Patriot though. *yawn*

I like the steepness of the first drop a lot. I like the way the ride crosses over itself at the bottom of the first drop. I like what the ride offers, but not how much the ride offers.
Most of all, I am not excited about El Toro because I will not get to ride it for about 5 years. If I found it in my heart to visit SFGAdv this year, chances are that I wouldn't get to ride El Toro anyways, so why even waste my time daydreaming about it? It will be closed any day that I would decide is a good day to go; that or the line will be 4 hours long.

Ha! Well, except for the yawn. If any coaster was going to be almost-cloned, they certainly could've done worse than Talon. (which is a great ride)
