What day(s) are they filming? Maybe I can go to the park that day(s) and cheer you on! You should upload a picture of you and your riding partner for the show in your profile so we know what you look like.
Also if they let you talk about exactly what the challenge is, (if they have even told you what it is) some buzzers may be able to start you off with some advise.

me and my twin brother, BackSeatBULLER, were finalists as well, we kind of kept our silence, but I don't think we made it since you obviously got a call. I called Anamarie tonight to change where I can be reached in case of a call tonight, and she told me they would probably make the desicion tomorrow. Like my brother said, that could just mean we didn't make it. Anyways, good luck, and if our luck changes by tomorrow......see ya there

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense if they already have the video. Maybe they just want some stills to use for the show (or to promote the show on the site).
Don't fret. If you made it this far, you're in. Last summer, Dateline MSNBC picked my family to tag along our summer vacation (we were hitting a dozen states in a dozen days -- with a ton of coasters thrown in for good measure). Networks don't like to take chances. Before they committed they interviewed me, my wife and my eldest son. They had us send pictures before that to make sure we were easy on the eyes (I guess). In the end, they moved up the air date so they had to go with a family that was trekking in May rather than our mid-June trip.
Still, this will be the chance of a lifetime for you petie -- and your friend (and mom). Don't worry about the hoops. The medical clearance is important. Liability is at stake here. Get that taken care of. Send in the photos.
If Robb and Elyssa got accepted earlier than you it makes no difference in the long-run. They're a known commodity. They have been auditioning for years in Robb's amazing coaster tapes and Elyssa was the star of one of those shows last year. I hope they fare well in the game -- but I hope you win.
It wasnt that I wasnt believing it was just that a few people mentioned that they didnt pick the winners until today!
But that doesnt matter now!
This is going to make for a great day at school! I can see it now "Yeah Im leaving"
Whats even better is that I will be in California for my birthday it doesnt get any better than that!

I got my "we regret to inform you" email this morning as well. They told us that we are runner-ups and will replace any teams that don't meet any of the next requirements. Also, Kiku asked us if we were interested in doing one of those "play-by-play" on a coaster in our area for Extreme Rides 2003. Another interesting thing that was said was:
"We also would like to hold onto your application in case Discovery asks us to do something like this at other parks as well, and we would love to work with you based on your video audition and application information."
Well, good luck petie, and if you feel like being charitable you can always give your spot on the show to me and my parter, haha, just kidding.

It probably helped Petie having a partner that's a girl. I imagine most of the tapes sent in were rich in testosterone. The show producers need diversity. If all they had was eight teams of teenaged boys from middle America the show wouldn't fly.
When you watch the show you'll probably see a middle-aged couple. Maybe a father and his daughter. You'll see an assortment of ages, genders and races. Casting like the show is a lot like casting for Survivor in that you want variety.
Just remember one thing Petie! No matter how sick you might get don't cry/puke/curse in front of the camera. Make sure that you're personable so -- win or lose -- the millions watching are going to like you in the end.
Don't lose hope BB. Folks fail physicals. Folks get cold feet. Anything can happen. Let's hope this show works out well so there'll be more.
