I guess that explains how they were able to keep the food down. Though I agree with others, they should have at the food and then go on X or the Rotor.
Oh god I would have hated to eat that food before the rotor...I almost got sick on it without eating. Lets just say the helmet cam was taking off in time LOL...I nearly vomitted LOL well that was pleasant
i wish i was on this show, the two college girls were really hot ;)

Great Escape Online Guide Coming Soon!
Also, they were pretty easy going on the rules, but this was actually something knew for Discovery Channel also, so maybe next year they will be able to improve on the editing and the actual rules of the game. Also, I hope the use a different park each year, I mean how many challenges can they come up with on X. They need a variety, and different parks means more variety in the challenges. Just think of what type of challenge could be on TTD!!! But, thanks for all of you who supported Crystal and Peter, when you think about it, all 5 teams were the guinea pigs for hopefully the beginning of a fun show for amusement park people every year. Also, as Crystal's mom, I wasn't worried about the swearing, figured they would for sure edit that out, but to my surprise, it was part of the show!!! Oh well, my language was not any better, first time I rode MF, and I'm sure it well be even worse first time on TTD!!!
Anyway, thanks again everyone, and start thinking of ideas for those auditions tapes so we'll have someone to cheer for.

Is the season pass good for SFWoA? If it is only good for the California park then I don't know how great that is unless you own a plane.
Also does anybody remember the show Wild And Crazy Kids on Nickelodeon? Many years ago, one show they were doing contest from an amusment park, very similar to the show on Discovery. I even believe it was Magic Mountain. I remember one of the challenges was to hold a glass of water in each hand on Colossus and the team that had the most water left in the cups at the end of the ride won that challenge. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Im sure some of you are dying to look at green team LOL
Does anyone find it odd that all the teams except us have a pic of them on X and we are just standing??? I guess we are so different that they had to have a different pic...actually the pic the took was one where the guy with the camera saw us dancing one of our dances from drama LOL...and he told us to kick out leg out LOL

I found the show to be more foolhardy then shows like "Survivor" Don't get me wrong, I love Survivor.
Most people here seemed not to like John Pullum, the host. I, for one, enjoyed his hosting. He wasn't boring or mysterious as other reality hosts seem to be. He was more enjoyable. Infact, after I replied to an earlier topic about the shows, I received an e-mail from him. I felt special! We've continued to send e-mails since.
It sounds like you all had a blast eventhough you were eliminated. The trip report you had done was a great read. Glad you got to ride Goliath before you left. I was also hoping that you'd get to ride X before, and if, you would've gotten eliminated. It would've hurt to be at SFMM and not get to ride X or Goliath!
People seemed not to be interested in the Grand Prize, but I think it was excellent. You'd get to return for an opening celebration, and then enjoy the park, without having cameras following you.
I've heard that the public enjoyed the show. If they do another, I might just get someone and send in a tape. I'm looking forward to the next installment of the show! And I hope that John returns for the hosting spot!

Pop a Dramamine before this ride

Just when you thought reality shows had hit the ad nauseam stage, along
comes one that reduces the genre to the level of plain old nausea.
"Thrill Rides Put to the Test" (tonight at 8 on the Discovery Channel)
pits
six pairs of "hard-core ride freaks" against one another in six tests
of
endurance, agility and ingenuity at Six Flags Magic Mountain in
Valencia.
It's kind of like "Survivor," sort of like "Fear Factor." As in those
shows,
the contestants will appear to some viewers to be super-studs. To
others,
morons with way too much time on their hands.
The six challenges progressively increase in difficulty, starting with
simple bungee cord flips and proceeding to plummeting toward earth at
60 mph
while trying to hit targets with water balloons.
The final contest is the most dastardly: Contestants must bolt sushi,
wash
it down with nachos, then ride the Goliath roller coaster and finish up
with
a mooseburger and spicy fries for dessert. Plastic ponchos are
provided.
If you have some downtime and you like to watch boring people being
tortured, this may be the show for you.
If you want even more dread and circuses, the program is followed by
repeats
of "Extreme Rides 2002" at 9 p.m., about the newest and most advanced
roller
coasters and attractions, and "Top 10 Coasters" at 10 p.m., about the
best
coasters in the U.S. Then you can watch "Thrill Rides" again at 11 p.m.
If, on the other hand, carousel horsies are more your speed and you
like to
treat Japanese cuisine with more respect, take a pass.
I was unclear on one point about the "Thrill Rides" test: If you win,
do youget Joe Millionaire?
best of luck
