Discovery Channel Reality Show

Do you have a laptop? If you do, you should take it along and update us on what you did from the hotel.
I do not have a laptop...I would think that they would make us sign something so we can't talk about the show...it would make sense, I would want to tell but Im sure they will make us be quiet until AFTER the show...

wow only about 34 hours left until we take off, can you tell i have too much time on my hands?

Hey petie, have you ever been to SFMM? (I'm guessing not)

A few tips if you get a chance to just hang out in the park (here's to hoping you will)"

* The run to X from the gate is all uphill. Pace yourself.

* Ride it: X, front row, outside seat, night

* Riddler's line shortest in the back row because of the platform configuration. As soon as you get on the platform go as far left as possible. It might save you 20-30 minutes. (and it's a totall bangarang ride back there!)

Good luck with the show, and be prepared to have sore calves since it's called Magic Mountain for a reason!

Seriously, SFMM is a great park and you'll have an awesome time. I wish you the best.

thank you very much! I dont think I am oging to be worrying about running to lines though...the park is closed the whole time I am there! So I dont think there will be any time to actually roam and enjoy the park...but hey its all good!

WE leave tomorrow!

YAY

ok, getting close, crystal is packing right now for tomorrow morning. I still can't believe that i am sending my daughter off to california to be on a reality show, but the one thing that will get me thru this is to be able to post here, even if i can't give you details, at least i can talk about something, hotel, how they are doing etc. So as a mom, don't get mad at me if i just post little things, but want to keep you all updated as much as i am allowed too.

Crystal and Peter took off this morning at 8:00, they are on their way. I think when they got their boarding passes, it finally hit them that this is actually going to happen.

I should of made my tape funnier. I had too many serious moments. I knew I wouldn't make it this far... and I thought no Buzzer would. Next year.

That's really cool, Bambi. I only wish that I were going too... What I wouldn't give for one more ride on X.

Try being a finalist and then not being able to go, that sucked. I am still having trouble sleeping.

------------------
If you haven't rode Raging Bull in the back row you haven't lived. The feeling on that first drop cannot be explained in words!

Just be glad you got as far as you did. It is really not anything to lose sleep over.

BackSeat BULLer: I bet it hurts that you didn't make it. To get an opportunity like that is incredible. Try to take the positives out of it. They might contact you for future considerations. That's gotta mean something. At least you tried.

TOP 5
1. Alpengeist, 2. Magnum XL-200, 3. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), 4. Nitro, 5. Volcano: The Blast Coaster
Close Calls 1. Apollo's Chariot, 2. Grizzly (PKD), 3. Medusa (SFGAdv)

Well, Crystal and Peter are on their way home, arriving at Hopkins at 9:30 tonight. Can tell you, they are two exhausted kids, both days they were at the park for more than 12 hours taping the show. I can tell you they did NOT have to sign anything about not talking about the show, and no one told them not to talk about it, so, I'm leaving that up to Peter. I'm sure he'll be on tonight or tomorrow. For me, knowing everything doesn't make a difference, cuz my daughter is going to be on tv, so I'm looking forward to seeing the show no matter what. I think talking about some of the challenges would be ok, but how it ended, I think that should be a surprise to the viewers. I mean what fun would it be to watch a reality show if you already know how it ends.

But that's up to Peter, he and Crystal are the ones who had to go thru this, so its totally up to him what he tells all of you.

But, I do think it's ok if he tells you alittle bit about some of the challenges, cuz, some of them sure weren't what you would expect!! But it's all up to Peter.

Bambi, excellent! Win or lose, congratulate your daughter -- I'm sure we'll get to hear from Peter here once he gets some rest and heads back online.

Just make sure your daughter (or Peter for that matter) doesn't come back with a big head, talking about finding a Hollywood agent or anything! :)

Rick

im here LOL!

Um right now I am a bit jet lagged...so I will give you a very VERY brief overlook

we came in dead last so we were elimited...dont feel bad we had more fun than the people who went on

very VERY few rides! SO ANGRY
we rode X
Superman
Goliath

the only other ride (that I consider a ride) that we rode was the Rotor (I forget the name of it there)

Of course when you ride they make you perform acts and such...I will talk about those maybe tomorrow...I dont want to give it away...It should make for good TV

lets see the other "THRILL RIDES" we went on were the
Rock Wall
Bungie Flippers Thing (yeah I forgot the name)
Dive Devil

SFMM is a very beautiful park it was amazing

from our hotel room I could see
X
Superman
and the Tower

and I am not telling the grand prize! (well maybe later)

I know I am going out of order but I am trying to eat dinner and I am really lazy right now

I made really good friends with a team out there...all of the teams got together really well...there was one team that we all disliked but they never caught on...in TIME MUHAHAHA

it was a great experience, the crew was awesome! They were so nice to us...many of them said that they were hoping that we would go on farther since we were very energetic but we HAD A GREAT TIME!

there was a lot of down time...
we didnt get to see any of the sights
but wow I cant wait to see what they leave in the show...

I will update later...

or I may not!

I am such a tease!

Petie, I can see why you're exhausted! Well done. Getting on the show was the real prize. Winning it all, well, that would've just been gravy on top.

Where did they set you guys up? The Hilton Garden Inn or somewhere else?

And please don't say that Robb and Elyssa were the team that everyone disliked. They look like they're always having a good time in all of Robb's videos.

Welcome back to reality.

yeah we stayed at the Hilton...its so nice...dont eat at the hotel *gags*

um there was no team with Robb and Elyssa...

sorry...

trust me when you see the show EVERYONE will know what team it was...
but I think all the other teams were nice about it and didnt say anything in their interviews...

but GAH they were annoying...ok Im over it

I already miss them all though...we only knew each other for two days but I want to talk to them all right now...

and another thing...

wow! these shows are so hard to put together..
yesterday (3-26) we were at the park at 6:30 and didnt leave until 11:30 PM...well the elimated teams keft for a half hour, in order to get around shild labor laws...shhhh! dont tell!

Wow. I'm surprised. I thought the whole thing would take longer. I guess all you had to do was spend a couple days out there. Too bad you two didn't get farther in the competition. That's okay though. The whole fact that you'll be on TV and that you were chosen to be on the show is good in itself. I hope it was all worth it.

I see Petie has told you all of the Thrill Rides that were involved in the challenges, but he forgot the most Extreme Thrill Ride of all, the dreaded "Baby Stroller"! lol

Sounds like it will be a fun show to watch. I just hope Crystal gets out of bed by then, said she could sleep through the next couple of months!!

That's weird. From some of the Knott's Coaster Solace TR's they said they saw some applicants videos. Then they said they showed Robb and Elissa's and said they get on. Congratulations on making it that far though!

Edit: Did Discovery Channel pay for your airfare and hotel?
