First of all its not that great of a re-creation. Second it is ugly. Third, if you want to upload somethin on this site, put more effort that 10 minutes into it.

Hell Moosh, I'm there anyway ;>)

I recieved the newsletter. Although I am an active member over there, I distinctly remember removing myself from their mailing list. I used to get those newsletters a long time ago, but I haven't for months. So it is strange all of us in CoasterBuzz are getting them now ...

Mine said "dear Nasai" so they are paying attention, at least to those that matter. ;)

Sounds too hard to sift through e-mail address' in my opinion... (I DID get one... I dont visit TN) ... is it possible they hacked into YOUR admin section, Jeff? I remember when you hosted my site it was real simple to e-mail the newsletter via the online froum admin interface (provided you had admin acess w/ name and password), is it possible that sombody just used your online newsletter interface? With so many people receiving it, it would just seem like they are WAYYYYYY too desperate to collect e-mail one by one somehow... unless they set up an automatic e-mail retriever somehow (isn't that why people add NO_SPAM etc. to e-mail addresses?) ... either way, TAKE ACTION!

I got this crap from alex@thrillnetwork.com:

An apology to Roller Coaster enthusiasts.

With the most recent ThrillNetwork Newsletter we made a mistake when sending out the email. We sent the newsletter to an old ThrillNetwork list and not our standard list. This list was one that was compiled from all the major coaster sites and Rollercoaster.com when this site was still affiliated with ThrillRide (now Rideworld). We used this list when we launched the old site. With this recent mailing we got a few complaints, which raised a flag because our primary list is directly imported from the message board signups.

We apologize if you received an email in error and remind you that we do adhere to strict standards regarding sending out unsolicited email. If you did receive an email and want to be removed from the list follow this link.

http://www.thrillnetwork.com/index.php?page=newsletter

Please keep in mind: as a condition of our Terms of Service and by signing up for any of the interactive features on ThrillNetwork you agreed to receive email news letters and periodic emails regarding changes and enhancements to ThrillNetwork.com.

Again, we are very sorry for this slip up. We’ve deleted the egregious list and re-imported the current message board users and our list is now up-to-date.

Sincerely,
Alex Westerman

ThrillNetwork.com

Why is this a complete and total lie? Because I have never signed up for anything, including the sites they list, using my primary e-mail address. And is it any coincidence that all of these people are CoasterBuzz members? That's one hell of a coincidence.

Seeing as how spamming is a violation of their ISP's terms of service, maybe we should all let them know. info@escape.com

No... there is no means to access the list directly. It is easy to scrape e-mail addresses though. You can download stuff that'll do it for you if you're too dense to code it yourself (and judging by what a piece of crap that site is, I'm guessing they're not clever enough to code any such thing).

Like I said... I'd notify their ISP.

Here's my email to escape.com:

Hello,

A site you host, ThrillNetwork.com, has taken my email address from another similar site that is not owned by them, and has sent me unwanted email. I do not appreciate this and hope that action is taken to prevent future similar occurances.

Jeff's correct. A complete lie. My current e-mail address was invented by me only a couple months ago. I went through a lot of doo doo to switch too. I had my old one for years and finally decided to make the move becuae of SPAM. I can't wait until people like this start getting fined.

Also, I NEVER signed up. Never even heard of them in my life. Boogers!
