Did you get e-mail from ThrillNetwork?

Wow, I *didn't* get one! Maybe they're only sending them to the more active members :) .

Add me to the list of people who received a newsletter [and wondered why I'd gotten it]. I did what chris suggested and also tried to log in using what I'd normally use as a username [mamoosh, coastermoosh] and my usual passsword and it could not recognize an account.

However the newsletter arrived at my work email address, which is *not* associated with my Cbuzz profile.

Indeed, seems someone *is* in trouble!

Smell ya later!

I got one also. I did sign up a long time ago and have never received a "newsletter" before, although they made it sound like they send them all the time.
Yes, and they are already in my spam filter's auto-punt list.

So what you're all saying is that they are indeed spamming people. I didn't sign-up there, that's for damn sure. When I do sign up for things I don't control (i.e., this site), I always use my Hotmail account (where I mostly just get penis enlargement spam... not sure how they knew I needed that).

It would appear then that it's time to draft a "strongly worded" letter. Either that or sue the bastards.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Yea, I got one too, just to add to the list, and I never even heard of ThrillNetwork.

I got one as well. But seeing as I use yahoo, it was automatically put in its rightful place- the trashbin. ;)

I got it too. I did sign-up for the site god knows how long ago... but I don't recall receiving mail from them before. I have no respect for websites that spam. Maybe it's time that "ThrillNetwork" become a curse word like a certain other "force" coaster site....

The Other Siebert

I might as well join in and say that I also got a Newsletter e-mail from them and I gotta admit, I can never remember signing up for it athough I may have done a few years ago when the page was set up?????

Thinking about it more,I beleve I did sign up for their message boards when it first started but I havent used the accounts for years but I cant remember signing up for any kind of newsletter although does that mean if you are a member just on the boards, you still get a newsletter anyway???????

I got 3 copies of the newsletter. One email doesn't exist anymore (old company domain forwarded to new domain), one I KNOW I never signed up for or visited with.

Not cool...

Skunky

To parrot everyone else: I got it, but never signed up for it.

I actually opened it, and the first line was:
Dear ;

Obviously, this spammer didn't bother scraping names from the profile pages, only email addresses.

Pinball and Coasters...Any Questions?

I take it a message was sent to my "other" e-mail that I used when I signed up there ages ago. That e-mails now un-active though (was hosted by RCT Staion)

Out of random question, what were the messages about? Were they just blank spam?

Cap'n Obvious sez:

Oh no! This may very well spell the end of CoasterBuzz!

People will read the email and squeal long shrieks of delight while holding their cheeks MaCauley Culkin-style. OMG OMG OMG there's another coaster site called ThrillNetwork! Let's run over their right now and start posting posts! Wheeeeeeeeehawwww!!

Soon there will be seven people on CoasterBuzz and all the jillions of new ThrillNetwork users will wanna be their new mods' friends. They will be celebrities, nay demigods walking tall and proud among us! What a rush!

Was that what somebody thought would happen? Looks like CPO disease is contagious. I'd sooner purchase a ticket to an imaginary park full of Chris Godsey coasters than switch cuz I got some SpamMail. Don't waste time and bandwidth spamming Da Buzzers. Shoo shoo now. Go write some code or something.
