"Diaster Zone" at Cedar Point...

"but you're the only example I got ..."

The irony is not lost...

"I really don't think that this is bad. It is a good converation going about the nature of the community of this forum."

I agree with this. I wish there were a way to make a newbie understand the smugness/protectiveness (can’t think of the correct word but I’m sure the regulars know the drill) that can come across on here. This guy may well deserve the treatment he is getting…I wouldn’t know because I’ve got an innate ability to ignore BS threads and also ignore poster names in such circumstances (I honestly do not the guys name as I post this…is it something about a pizza?)…

However, I cannot help but think that there have been some decent people “run off” of this place due to some “short fuses” on here. Again…this may serve to keep the board from being overrun with trolls. It also serves to severely limit the number of individuals willing to participate. This is why you see the same 5-10 names over and over again on any thread with unique discussion that warrants opinion! Something about throwing the baby out with the bath water comes to mind…

Anyhow…I always try to answer questions if I feel they are honest and legitimate. I’m not sure I’ve ever read the TOS myself, and if I did, it was a long time ago! I ignored this thread in the beginning because I was turned off by the spelling mistakes and assumed this guy probably would not understand reasonable response! I’ve only recently opined as I could not believe a Disaster Transport thread went three pages and I thought there had to be something interesting going on, like an "SEC is better than the Big Ten" debate or something. It is not as if this is a thread about Six Flags parking…

Instead, all I found was the old “CB is full of pricks” discussion! :-)

Did someone mention my name? Oops, wrong quote. ;)

Mamoosh you might not remember this but when I first started posting here you sent me some discount coupons to SFMM and I just thought you were the coolest!
Dexter and Tina, I think you're my all time faves....after Gonch of course!

And I never sent coupons! Parents, don't let your children grow up to be Gonch.

...and Gonch is just plain sexy!

Moosh! Dexter is moving in on your territory. :)

Of related note may be the last 8 minutes and 45 seconds of the latest podcast. Jeff talks about the site and the upcoming changes along with a little about the haters. Kind of fits the thread. Even if you hate what we generally do with it, download the mp3 and push it forward to that point and give it a listen.

Other than that, it's nice to know the season is just around the corner - this is always one of the last off-season topics to come around each spring just when things are about to break. :)

Thanks for the kind words Impulse-ive, I'm glad I have made a good first impression. I guess it paid off lurking for a while before deciding I might have something to say worth reading.

Besides, you guys are stuck with me, I dropped my 20 bucks yesterday and will be checking my mail expectantly for my club stuff!

You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!

Parents, don't let your children grow up to be Gonch.

Check, and double check.

I, for one, am going to be nice to the Pizza Dude. I am looking for some ERT on the Enterprise.

I started reading and posting on CB about a year ago. In the beginning, I was alot like PizzaGuy, lots of lame posts that were way off track. I quickly discovered that you make the newbies ride this site with the over-the-shoulder restraints down and in the fully locked position. Since then, for the most part, I have opted to view CB from the observation deck and laugh my ass off anytime someone has riden a little to long and throws up on themselves.

Words of wisdom from the new guy... :)

Of course, I keep typing, and I rarely have anything to say that's "worth reading"... ;)

Wow, when I read the topic title, I thought it was to talk about the 2007 Construction Site at CP.
And who says lightning doesn't strike twice!?
If this isn't irony defined, please tell me what is!
I see no irony to my post.
HA! That's even better!
Isn't it time for your spongebath?
Do you like pancakes too?
Why yes, I had one this morning for breakfast.
HA! Who needs Comedy Central, this is enough to last me all day ...

You wouldn't by any chance like to join my club would you? If you send me a $20 donation, you'll get a lifetime membership to our park in either North Carolina or Indiana that will be a place where we rescue rides which we feel are neglected by the big parks. Any coaster that sits SBNO for more than 9 months will be taken over by our organization by a law that we're getting passed right now by Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) ...

You forgot the lawsuits dude...that was my favorite part ;) *** Edited 4/23/2006 8:39:51 PM UTC by Peabody***
