The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch
Welcome Pizzaguy! Don't EVER take what these dorks say too seriously. ;-) Its fun to watch people argue about trivial s*** sometimes, especially the guys. Just go with the flow...you just MIGHT make some lifelong friends here. :-)
It's all good! And for the record, DT is "fun" but only when the line is short. :-)

You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!
As for someone mentioning about the hope that the popularity might come back with knoebels adding a new bobsled coaster, I hope that it might lead to others building more flying turns specifically. Im not sure what other parks would be interested but it would be neat to bring back such an old coaster style. I doubt it would happen but a "classic coaster wars" would be cool, with many older designs coming back, but I cant see that happening. Also, DT was one of the coasters I skipped while at CP so i havent ridden one personally butit always seemed cool I just didnt have alot of time. *** Edited 4/20/2006 4:02:14 PM UTC by P18***
You don't sound stupid to me. I belive that sometimes I sound stupid, but it doesn't stop me from giving my input.
And yes, Tina is very nice! :)
A classic coaster wars sounds vey exciting! Just imagine if this were to happen!
Even though this is just a coaster message baord and not real life, I can honestly say that CoasterBuzz has played a very important role in helping me learn how to better communicate with others. The last Five years on CB has rippled throughout my entire life.

Ya know...this whole "scaring off the newbies" argument has been played over and over...and yet new people are still coming to CBuzz. I think it's a non-issue.
They come and they go just as fast. This leaves us with the same five guys talking among themselves. We pretty much know each others takes/opinions before the response (myself included). I still enjoy the informational aspect of CB, and most certainly will piggyback a debate now and then (not as much as in the beginning though)…BUT some new intelligent posters with fresh ideas/opinions could certainly spice the place up a bit…no? Anyhow…fair to say that this is not the most welcoming of boards. Whether this is ultimately good or bad is hard to say. I’ve lightened my opinion over the past few years and can see how the prevailing attitude might indeed serve as good filter for idiots! I can’t help but think we’ve ran off a lot of good discussion too…?
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Take LdScotsman for example. I think his first post was the original post in the Cedar Point thread. Since then, he hasn't started vast numbers of threads, his contributions are well spelled and make sense, he offers up a bit of humor and sarcasm where necessary, and he's a completely accepted new member of the board. How come your defense of intelligent, contributing new people always pops up in threads started by hyperactive, senseless, lazy posters? Maybe because those that "deserve" their spot in said intelligent discussion don't make a spectacle of themselves.
--Brett, apparently the inaugural member of the LdScotsman fan club... sorry dude, I'm not stalking you or anything, but you're the only example I got ...
That was far worse than this ever was.

I will not be posting here much after I leave for Sandusky in a few days. Working at CP will keep me from the computer. Everyone will have to come see me at Paddlewheel this year. I'll be the one who looks like the guy in my profile pic. :)
