Deja Vu, when will it open

I'm sure they're just going to open it as soon as possible, be it a weekday, or a weekend. Apparently though someone who went yesterday said they had talked to a mechanic that was working on the ride all day. He had told them that they're going to try to open it within the next few days. He also said they'll be testing it either that night or the next day. So, it sounds like it should be in business very soon!
thanks for the info cory that another good thing i hope it opens realy soon
So maybe this Saturday or Friday?

At least I'll be there when its open (it better not breakdown). But do you think that all its problems have been solved and it should run like the other rides at the park?

My answer: NO. Its still gonna have problems but not as worse as its been. It wont run as well as lets say Raging Bull. But I think the problems havent been fixed, they've been improved.

Oh, and next time you see a bunch of people working on a dormant ride, dont say that nothing's happenening

"Show me a train and you'll get my attention."

"Welcome back. When the train stops, push down then pull up on your lap bar. Please exit to your right, and down the exit ramp. We thank you for challenging Raging Bull, and enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags!"

When S:RoS SFNE's train came back after the accident, the op said it took 1000 hrs. of testing. I would assume he meant 1000 laps, but you know what happens when you assume: you make an ass out of yourself.

I could imagine that it would take more testing to bring a ride back from an accident than from "dormancy" (or whatever you might call DV's hibernation phases).

As noted, every state IS different in terms of certification.

bill, hoping to ride SFoG's before the season is out...

gator's sig will not be operational today....we regret any inconvenience....

When DV opened in 2001, it tested for 1-2 weeks before its Media Day. Because of this, my guess is that the ride will be up fairly quickly, if not this week or weekend then probably next week.

Glad to hear the train is there....disappointed to see they didn't get the 4 across train. I think ALL of us wanted to see it quantifed just how much of an effect it would have had on load/unload.

At any rate, hope they get it going soon and that it is as improved a ride as it is here.

(I got 3 rides last sunday...including my first on 8b since the rehab. Damn. Just Damn.)

DEJA HAS TESTED I REPEAT DEJA HAS TESTED : )I went today along with many other people to watch and take pictures of Deja Vu and the Train. I was a the park from 9:30 to 6:00 I saw it test 7 times but the bad thing is it valleied 5 out of the 7 times lol. They did alot of work on the Catch car today testing them it was very cool to see it run again though. I took pictures here they are if you wanna see them.

Correct me if im wrong, but dosent b&m own the patend to the 4 across seating or something to do with 4 across seating? Also, I hope it is up and running by the 3rd week in aug because that is when I am going for the first time.

FYI, Intamin made the first coaster with 4 across seating. It was Z-Force at SFGAm which is now Flashback at SFMM. I don't think you can patent something as broad as 4 across seating.

Laugh your troubles away at Riverview, the world's largest amusement park.

Guess who was working for Intamin at the time and are the creators of Flashback... you guessed it good ol Bolliger and Mabillard. So it goes to show that they've always been doing 4 across for a while.I'm thrilled to hear DejaVu is back up because in my opinion this is the best coaster in the park. Hopefully they will have it running in perfection when I go next week sometime.
Take out the d*mn safety brakes and the ride will work fine !

Remove the orange seatbelts and loading will go much quicker !

Just some tips from the Benelux, where this thing was made. Six Flags though they could improve the ride with some extras.

Roarrrr...

While we are at it, why dont we enclose it and make it a dark ride!!! :) It is true about the seatbelts though, those were added last minute and it seems as if they almost double the load time. They seem uneccesary from the standpoint of some 23 year old guy who doesnt know much about the coaster industry ;). I am very excited to ride this again though, I think its a great ride.
Deja's are awesome rides and it would be nice to see GAM's version work again. I got my first (three) rides on SFOG's yesterday. It ran from 11:00 to 9:00 with absolutely no problems. The front and back give absolutely insane rides! I do agree that the orange safety belts are incredibly useless. If ANYONE thinks that that easily sliding safety belt would hold you in a vertical position, they need their head checked. The ride-op with the mic even said, "Now before you lower the green safety harness, attach that completely useless and unreliable orange safety belt that you are probably sitting on." My friend and I laughed about it because we had just been discussing how pointless they are. They increase load times and offer nothing in the department of safety.
It looks in the pictures that the orange seatbelts are missing. I could be wrong though.

I gues I should mention (again?) that the ride wasn't *intended* to have the extra (orange) seat belts....apparently patrons complained about not feeling secure *enough* on the ride, and SF figured that some extraneous safety belts would give the proper illusion of added safety...just thought I'd mention it, since that's ONE aspect of the ride that is clearly NOT Vekoma's fault...;)
If the seatbelt was added due to guests not feeling secure enough, how does Superman get away with their restraint system when you're hanging face down the whole ride?
