As stated above, I don't like Deja Vu.

YOUNGSTOWN 2010

Attention all buzzers:

jkpark does NOT like Deja Vu.

That is all for now.....

(the following was a test of the emergency broadcast system...had anyone actually cared, you will be notified immediatly)

Folks, as of 7/20, there is now a train on the track of Deja Vu at Six Flags Great America.

And it is the old train, not the 4-across. So much for Chipster.

No, I did not have a camera to take pictures.

Yes, there were several people working on it in the station. I was hoping it would test, but it did not.

This seems to be very good news.

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

I have never been happier. This is great news. I can finally ride it for the FIRST time this year. I dont think it needs too much testing. I dont remember a month or even weeks of testing at SFOG. It "could" be opening up VERY soon.

Yay I can go to SFGAM and watch the monument rollback repeatedly throughout the day and still not get to ride it......

If given the choice I'd choose a hamburger over a hotdog anyday of the week.

No faith Duckboy, no faith. ;)

Faith no more......

It doesn't exist.

Actually, Magnum Force, after hiding (and, on would hope, rehabilitating) the train for 9 months I certainly hope they did something to make this ride run smoother, quicker, and more dependably. I imagine it got the same rehab as the rides in Georgia and California.

Delayja Vu's train is supposedly on the track.... yeah sure..... I'll believe it when I see it!

Just kidding. This is progress. Lets hope for some more (progress that is). Foward progress. And backwards too. Progress in either direction is better than a valley.... ie. The valley of death. The valley of doom. The valley of Deja Vu!

And by the way Magnum there are some hotdogs that I would prefer over some hamburgers.... ie a true chicago style dog over a Mcdonald's burger anyday.

Back to the ride, how long do you think it'll take before they test and how long do you they'll test it for?

They should start testing this week. It seems they tested the cable thing so thats done. Heck maybe tomorrow they will.

As for how long, I think no more than a couple days. When the one at SFOG opened, I dont remember weeks of testing. Its not a new ride, it just hasnt been open in a while. I definitley see an opening by August or possible next week. And I'll be there....

Excellent news. I can't wait to ride it again. :)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

There is a certain number of hours that they must test the ride to get it certified for opperation before they can opperate with people. I believe each ride must go through this process each year. My guess is that we are at least a couple weeks away from it opening, however, what do I know, I am just a computer nerd.
Yeah its like I heard 300 tests or something to get all the bugs out and to get it certified. But that could be wrong i heard some ride op say that but I dont belive him. Iam not saying this is for sure but I think they will mostly just test it after hours because if the GP sees it running there all gonna flock over there and be "like why is it not open but its running I want my money back" and you know the rest of the speil. Then they yell at the ride ops for not opening it then they get kicked out of the park. I have seen this happen alot. Mostly on SUF and Deja Vu though.

My guess is that It will proably open next week if everything gos well with the train and train catchs and everthing else. I mean this coaster has not ran sience last Blast november 1st 2nd and 3rd.so well have to wait and see what happens.

I cant wait to ride this again its been so long like the last time i rode it was in october of 2002.

Actually, I think it's only 50 test runs for it to be state certified.

I think it depends on the state.

Thank God I changed my mind from going on Thursday to now next Thursday, the 31st. Do you think they'll try to open it on a weekend day w/more people?
