SFGAm has 3 machines...
DDR 3rd Mix machines are located in the Southwest Territory arcade and Pirates Alley arcade near shockwave. There is also a DDR 7th mix machine in the County Fair acrade near American Eagle. Dont be fooled! That machine says 3rd mix on it but it is really 7th mix. They converted it over a short while ago.

SFGAm Viper
I played two games on the 7th Mix machine at SFGAm yesterday (thanks Keith, haha) and it was an okay machine. $1 per play, kinda hard to hear the beats but the arrows were responsive.
Witch Doctor maniac rules! I think that is my favorite DDR song now.
I've noticed that most parks machines are pretty quiet...wonder why, since they're like the most popular games there usually. Oh well...

IoA has a DDR machine in the arcade between Cafe4 and Dr. Doom....which version, I have no idea....but we often watch the DDR players while eating....
LOL, when the SFOG foremen went down there in June, a couple of people in our group played it who were pretty good. It was hilarious to watch white guys "bust a move," especially people you work with.
I have no coordination except in my fingers from endless days pushing buttons on control panels. They should make them for your feet so operators would be forced to entertain guests. ("Release lap bars?!? I can't do that move!")

OK, let's say you're a happily married fellow who doesn't drink... then what's the goal?
If you're married to my wife you go look at the eye candy together (yes, I have the coolest wife on the planet, thank you very much). But with the music and rumpshakahs, how does one resist alcohol's glorious calling?
Being married doesn't mean you're dead...

Let's see if I got this straight - If you don't drink and you don't like ogling women, you're dead?
No thanks - I have enough fun with my wife and our friends without alcohol and debauchery...

OK, I'll admit it....I'm a DDR FAN(atic).
I'm not a big fan of the music, although it sometimes gets stuck in my head. bah.
I LOVE DDR.
Do I play it? YES!
Am I any good at it? NO!
However, since it's cheaper to buy a pair of Konami pads and a mix off of eBay than it is to keep pumping dollars into a theme park DDR machine, my friend has taken that course of action in an effort to undermine the notorious "two left feet" syndrome I seem to be suffering from...

Perhaps not dead, but I don't know if I'd call that living.

"don't like ogling women".....gotta agree with Jeff on this one....:)
If/when it comes to pass that this is no longer an enjoyable activity, I won't necessarily be *dead*, but life will surely be a different thing than it has been for the past 20-25 years....
